Most important rules: 1) Do what is right.

2) Be on time.

3) Treat others how you’d like to be treated – with respect.

Expectation of Teacher:To facilitate your greatness.

Policies and Procedures for Mrs. Timmins’ English Class:

1)Be on time and prepared for class. If you are not sitting in your seat when class is scheduled to begin, you are late. The result of this choice is detention.

2)Late Homework: Most(NOT ALL) assignments may be turned in ONE day late for partial credit. NO LATER THAN ONE DAY LATE.

3)Late long-term projects/essays: One letter grade is deducted for EACH day the assignment is late.

4)If you are absent from class for any reason, check the binder in the back of the classroom, or check the class’ calendar on my Teacher Page for missed assignments. It is your responsibility to turn in the work.

5)If you need to make up a test or a quiz, you must see me the day you get back BEFORE SCHOOLso that we can arrange a time for you to take the test/quiz.

Required Materials:

1)1 (1.5 inch) binder with 5 dividers. Divide the binder as follows:

1.) Short Stories 2.)Novels 3.) Poetry 4.) Grammar 5.) Vocabulary

2)1 notebook (spiral or bound – your call.)

3)2 Pens (only blue or black), and 2 Pencils
