MDTC Agility Fun Match - SATURDAY, JANUARY 2, 2016, 8:00am

MDTC INdoor Training Grounds (333 N. 35th St, Milwaukee, WI 53212)

-Walk-throughs begin after the course is set - First dog running by 9:00am

-Participants are required to set-up, course build and take-down

■Games Offered – Fullhouse (CPE), Standard (AKC/CPE), Serpentine Challenge (8 or 12 sets of linear jumps),

Weave Pole Challenge W/a Twist (6-12 Weaves-Tunnel- 6-12 Weaves), Jumpers (CPE), Tunnelers (NADAC)

■FULLHOUSE -All obstacles possible. -Must complete at least 3 jumps, 2 circles and 1 joker. Knocked bars = 0 points

-Jumps = 1 point. Circles = 3 points. “Joker” (contacts, 6 weaves, or combinations) = 5 points.

-The table is live at all times; run is done when dog touches the table. Time faults = 1/sec over time (max 5 sec)

■STANDARD -All obstacles possible. No Teeter in Novice. No Refusals called. Knocked bars and off-courses = 5 faults.

-Missed obstacles = 10 faults

■WEAVE POLE CHALLENGE -Dog must complete a set of 6 or 12 from start to finish, including a tunnel,

to qualify for placement. Fastest time wins. 2 tries per entry. Best of 2 tries will be recorded.

■SERPENTINE CHALLENGE -Dogs must complete, in order, an 8 or 12 linear serpentine sequence of jumps to qualify for

placement. Fastest time wins.

■JUMPERS -All Jumps (No contacts or weaves). Knocked bars and off-courses = 5 faults.

-Missed obstacles = 10 faults

■TUNNELERS -8-20 obstacles consisting only of tunnels. Off-course = 5 faults. Missed obstacle = 10 faults.

***NOTE: If you feel a game is not appropriate for your dog but want a “package deal,”

you may run your dog twice in any chosen game offered. Be sure to note this change clearly on your entry form***

■Times and scores will be recorded and ranked. Ribbons given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th places.

■Dogs may run collarless or with flat, tag-less buckle collars. Leashes are not allowed in the ring (unless training only).

■Organizing committee may refuse entry for any reason. No refunds will be given after the closing date; this includes match

dismissals or personal cancellations.

■Judging will be done by an experienced agility competitor, handler or instructor. Course maps will be available for all participants. Running orders will be posted the morning of the Fun Match. Stopwatches will be used for timing. All contacts are rubberized.

Weave poles are 24”. Jumps used may be winged or wingless.

■Training in the ring is allowed. You may choose to run each course for “real” with scoring or simply use your time for training or familiarization with a 2 minute course time maximum. There is a 2 minute maximum time for each dog in the ring. No harsh corrections will be allowed or tolerated. Treats and toys can be used in the ring in lieu of taking a placement.

■Weave Pole Challenge: Every entrant will receive two tries. The best of the two tries will be used for final placement.

■Dogs are allowed to jump above, at or one height under CPE regulation heights. Dogs jumping two or more levels under their regulation height may do so in lieu of placement. Dogs will not be measured at the fun match; fair estimates are acceptable (if you are not sure, ask).

The ring will run small to tall (4”/8”/12”/16”/20”/24”). Levels will run Advanced to Novice. Any dog under 12 months old may run at 8” for placement. Veteran dogs (10 yrs or older) may run at any height for placement.

■Novice level courses will not include the teeter. Novice level courses may include a set of 6 weaves. Advanced courses may

include any and all obstacles.

■Dogs without agility titles in ANY venue may enter in EITHER the novice or advanced levels (Advanced class students encouraged to enter in the advanced level regardless of titles, but it is ultimately still your choice). Dogs with one or more agility titles in ANY venue must enter the advanced level. Veteran dogs (10+ yrs old) may enter in either novice or advanced.

■Parking in the driveway is not allowed. Spaces are reserved for the committee. Equipment drive-up/drop-off is allowed before 7:45am. Soda and water will be available for purchase. There will be a potluck breakfast and lunch. Please bring a small dish to pass. The committee will provide chili. We will break for a lunch social. Volunteers welcome and encouraged to join. Non-entering members HIGHLY encouraged to help. Day end drive-up/pick-up allowed only after ALL equipment is put away and the area is cleaned and cleared.

■Set-up and crating is available along the outside areas of the typical crating spaces. Dogs may not be crated or left in vehicles unless approved by a committee member.

■If the weather is deemed too dangerous, a cancellation/change message will be left. This notification will be noted on the phone system
