Upon arrival at the Barranquilla airport,only take taxis hired through the official Taxi Booth. A 3D map of the Barranquilla airport describes where the booth is located in the airport and what it looks like. Please view link below:

On the ground floor (= first floor) you will find the taxi-cab symbol right in middle of the map. Click it and a pop up window will show you what the booth looks like and where it is located. The fare to the hotel is approximately USD $12.00.

  1. Post Conference Tours

You can still register for the exciting post conference tours as described in the Spring 2010 WACRA NEWSletter on page 13. Send your registration by email or fax (+781-444-1548)NOW!

For Options A and B, the stated prices are per person sharing a room (double occupancy). For example, Option A Tour - Hotel Capilla de Mar will cost $468 per person (after March 1 deadline). Total cost for two persons staying in a room will be $936. If you are not sharing a room, the cost for Option A will be $468 plus the single room supplement of $140 (total cost for the room $608). The price for Option B Tour is $399 per person sharing a room (total cost for two persons $798). For a single person, price will be $399 plus single room supplement of $276 (total cost $675). Option C will cost $515 per person. (See details on Post Conference Tour on page 13 of the NEWSletter).

Tour A begins on June 29, 2010 in Barranquillain the morning and departs from the conference hotel - the Barranquilla Plaza Hotel - and ends in Cartagena at the Hotel Capilla del Marand Hotel Las Americas on the morning of July 1, 2010.

Tour B begins in Cartagena on July 1, 2010 (in the morning) at the Hotel Capilla del Mar and the Hotel Las Americas and ends in Cartagena (harbor side) on July 3, 2010 (unless an extension is booked).

Tour C begins in Cartagena on July 1, 2010 (in the morning) at the Hotel Capilla del Mar and Hotel Las Americas and ends in Santa Martaat the Hotel Irotama on July 3, 2010 (unless an extension is booked).

The combination of Option A followed by Option B or C is recommended. Options B and C are extensions of Option A. Options B and C can be booked without participation in Option A.

Tour A and B will end in Cartagena. There are direct flights from Cartagena to U.S. destinations. Tour C ends in Santa Marta. Flights are available from Santa Marta’s regional airport to Bogota and then to the U.S. Please see details on page 13 of the WACRA NEWSletter.

  1. Case Writing Colloquium and Cross National Teaching Forum

For the Case Writing Colloquium and the Cross National Teaching Forum: Teaching, Culture and Diversity on Friday, June 25, 2010, separate registration is required. If your case is part of the CaseWriting Colloquium or if you are scheduled to participate in the Cross National Teaching Forum: Teaching, Culture and Diversity, please send your registration (by fax or email) and payment now (by Visa or MC credit card).

  1. Optional Dinners

If you are interested in joining the optional dinners on Thursday, June 24 and Monday, June 28, and have not yet signed up (most delegates have done so), please do so immediately. Use the conference registration form and fax it to +781-444-1548.

  1. WACRA Board Meeting

WACRA Executive, Advisory and IJCRA Editorial Board Members: Please confirm your attendance of the Board meeting on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the Barranquilla Plaza Hotel: 10.00 – 13.00 (including lunch).

  1. Conference Program Agenda

An abbreviated conference program will be distributed within the next several days. At registration, you will receive a conference packet including a detailed conference program (reflecting the names of all authors, the titles of the papers, workshops, presentations and a listing of all conference participants) and other relevant information.

The WACRA® office in NEEDHAM (BOSTON) will be closed from June 22 – July 6, 2010. The North Carolina WACRA Conference Office will close from July 12–August 20, 2010.

The WACRA 2010conference promises to be intellectually stimulating with exciting model demonstrations conducted by leading experts, well developed presentations and many opportunities to meet colleagues from around the world in a spectacular setting.
