The Vermont Human Resource Association, a recognized chapter affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management, is Vermont’s oldest and largest organization dedicated to promoting the Human Resources profession.

We also consider ourselves a valuable leader in the business community assisting initiatives to make Vermont a better place to work and live.

The Vermont Human Resource Association (VTHRA), an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), is the largest and oldest organization serving the needs of human resources professionals in Vermont. With more than 330 members, VTHRA strives to enhance Human Resource professionals’ ability to advance their careers, organization and community through education, networking, and access to financial assistance.

Who can become a member? / Membership is open to individuals involved in working with or in the field of human resources.
ProfessionalVTHRA SHRM MEMBER: Has an active SHRM membership and is a HR professional or practitioner, consultant, or service provider (attorneys, recruiters, trainers, benefit brokers, etc) serving the HR professionals or their organizations. $75/year
Membership in the Vermont Human Resource Association is open to individuals working within the field of human resources at a professional level, either supervising or directly performing human resource functions.
VTHRA Member: Is a HR professional or practitioner, consultant, or service provider (attorneys, recruiters, trainers, benefit brokers, etc) serving the HR professionals or their organizations. $115/year
SHRM VTHRA Breakfast Plus Member: Same as VTHRA SHRM Member and includes all 2-3 hour program meetings as pre-paid. $200/year
Associate: Human resource consultants and service providers may join as non-voting, associate members to participate in VTHRA programming, special events and select committees.
Student: Students currently enrolled in a degree seeking program in support of Human Resource Management. Membership is for the calendar year and membership types may not be changed mid-year. Complimentary
Student: Students currently enrolled in a degree seeking program in support of Human Resource Management are welcome to join VTHRA at no cost. Membership is for the calendar year and membership types cannot be changed mid-year. Fees are only waived for those in degree-seeking programs.

VTHRA memberships are individual (not corporate) and are based on a calendar year (January through December). If you are currently unemployed and need financial assistance, please contact our Membership Chair.
