October 2015 Minutes
Steve opened the meeting at the Cliffs shaft Mine Museum at 6:05 with about 27 members present. There were 6 Model As in the parking lot. This is the last meeting for 2015.
Minutes:
The minutes were read and approved by with a motion by Dave O. with a 2nd by Joe D. The motion carried.
Financial Report: Clay J. gave a report with a final balance of $4,318.73. A motion by Joe D. and a 2nd by Bob S. to approve. The motion carried.
Correspondence:
· Various cars sold and for sale, contact Steve for the information.
· Letter from member Louis Ironside concerning a donation to MAFFI.
Old Business:
· MAFFI donation. A discussion followed including all MAFFI staff are totally voluntary, inventory of 25 restored vehicles, they own the bldg., and that the organization rents the property. Several members think the Club should donate but are unsure of the amount. A motion was made by Dick L. to have the Convention Committee figure out the amount, with a 2nd by Keith J. Motion carried.
· Dick L. gave an update on Heidi about her travels.
· The Youth Restoration was discussed. The amount and the procedure to award were discussed. A motion was made by Doug O. with a 2nd by Dennis S. to have the Convention Committee decide. Motion carried.
· The Scoot and Shoot was canceled.
New Business:
· The Library was discussed with Thanks to Keith J. for his efforts. A table of contents will be put in the next News Letter next year.
· Steve asked if members were satisfied with our News Letter? There were a couple of improvement suggestions.
· The Club needs a Tour coordinator, see Steve to volunteer.
· Thanks to Joe Drobney who donated a 1923 Dodge to the Marquette Regional History Museum.
· A host for our January 2016 meeting is needed.
· Thanks to the Cliffs Shaft Mine Museum for hosting our meeting.
A motion to close by Norm J. with a 2nd by Dave O. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 7:20 pm.
