V. Musatov. Czechoslovakia - 68: Formation of a Position of the USSR and Its Allies

1968 events of which have taken place in Prague are memorable all over the world. There was a war in Vietnam and against it accrued anti-war public statements in the USA. At the same time the Negro population amplified struggle for the rights in America. Student’s protest actions under revolutionary slogans passed in France, Germany and other countries of Europe. Attempts of reforms have started to be shown even in socialist camp where the Soviet-Chinese disagreements undermined unity, first of all in economic and social sphere.
M. Pitsk, O. Turek. Essence and Value of an Economic Reform of 60th Years

We reject the statement that 60th years represent a single whole with the totalitarian 40-years period of communism domination. Besides we disagree with explication of 1968 events as a result of which there was only an insignificant replacement of one communistic management by another. It contradicts the reality.
I. Orlik. Defeat of the Prague Spring: the International Aspect

The Prague spring – this is a definition has appeared 40 years ago and has gone to history as attempt of Czechoslovak communists to reform socialism, its public mechanism and the state system. Internal preconditions of the 1968 Prague spring, preparation and decisionmaking for input of participants of the Warsaw Pact countries armies to Czechoslovakia basically have been already covered by historians. However there are not enough the researches devoted for estimations and reaction on these events by the world community, and also for consequences of ruling circles of the West behavior for this situation development.

The analysis of the reasons of financial crises1998 and 2007–2008 influence on economy development and the Russia finance and CIS countries shows similarity of problems with which the CIS countries face. The general consequences of external shocks create an objective basis for adjustment of interaction for of the CIS countries in financial sphere.

For 15 years of the Georgian economy destruction which were begun under Z. Gamsakhurdia and finished under E. Shevardnadze, Georgia has passed from industrial and agrarian country in the agrarian and industrial. Practically all branches of the Georgian economy became victims of chaos and an irresponsible policy. Though the present government of the country has made a huge step forward, achievements could be big if the economic policy was more over thought and purposeful.

Collapse of the USSR in December, 1991 and disintegration of uniform economic space have determined the main characteristic feature of a geoeconomics and geopolitical situation in the territory of the former USSR – delimitation of the new sovereign countries. However, following worldwide tendencies national economies regionalization in conditions of globalization, on open spaces of former power have been unwrapped integration processes on market principles – primarily within the framework of the CIS, and subsequently as subregional associations of the new countries. Unfortunately, new Russia could not undertake a role of the main integrator of the Post-Soviet space.

Today it is impossible to present, that social and economic transformations did not concern a civil society of any country. The present and the future of each state and opportunity of its integration into the world community depend on its development. It is especially actual for the Post-Soviet space to which Ukraine belongs also. The place and role of a civil society in political, social and economic processes for social development of country is analyzed on the basis of sociological researches.

The Post-Socialist countries have got also unexpected problems together with the market, democracy and the long-awaited rights and freedom. So, getting rid from under consumption and even ascetism (at extreme modes of board), they began to be poured in a consumer society already successfully mastered in the West. However «hedonistic capitalism» appeared not so unequivocal. The consumer culture has both dark and light sides.
