National Scholarships (Name—Eligibility—Deadline)

1) Fastweb Scholarships—FREE national scholarship search/ go to www.fastweb.com to start. Deadline: varies.

2) Hagan Scholarship—Must have a 3.5 GPA or higher, an ACT composite 23 or higher, and demonstrate financial need. Go to www.hsfmo.org to apply. Deadline Nov. 15, 2017.

3) National Honor Society (NHS) Scholarship—Open to senior NHS members. Check with the NHS adviser to obtain application instructions. Letters of recommendation required. Deadline Jan. 30, 2018.

4) 2018 Profile in Courage Essay Contest Scholarship—700-1,000 essay required. Go to www.jfklibrary.org/essaycontest for details & to apply. Deadline Jan. 4, 2018.

5) Free Speech (FIRE) Essay Contest Scholarship—Must submit a 800-1,000 word essay. Go to https://www.thefire.org/student-network/essay-contest/ to apply. Deadline Jan. 31, 2018.

6) 2017 Future of Assisted Living Scholarship—Must write a 500-750 word essay. Go to https://www.senioradvisor.com/ind/assisted-living for details. Scroll down the page to the “scholarship part.” Deadline Dec. 31, 2017.

8) ACT Student Champion Award Scholarship—Must have overcome challenges, has a 3.0 GPA or higher, and a 22 ACT score or higher. Preference given to first-generation college students. Wisconsin Scholarships (Name—Eligibility—Deadline)

1) Herb Kohl Excellence Scholarship 2018—Open to ALL seniors. Those with demonstrated leadership, school & community involvement, and higher academic achievement are encouraged to apply. 2) Engineers Foundation of Wisconsin Scholarships—Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and 24 ACT or higher. Plan to enter a 4-year college for Engineering. Go to www.wppe.org/efwi.shtml to apply. Deadline Dec. 18, 2017.

3) WI. Society for Clinical Lab Science Scholarship—Must plan to enroll in a Medical Tech/ Clinical Lab Science program. Send an enroll request for application to . Deadline March 1, 2018.

1) Kewaunee County VFW Post #29 Voice of Democracy Scholarship—Must write & record a 3-5 minute essay on “American History: Our Hope for the Future.” Info in counseling office. Deadline Oct. 31, 2017.
