Using AnyRidge and AnyOne immediately post extraction

As demonstrated inInternational literature and in our own daily practice, primary stability has a fundamental role in the success of immediate post extraction loading. Conical implants, inserted in post-extractionroot cavities can be used on the same day by ensuring their stability. Lessreturn visits, together with the possibility of immediate functionmeans a significant reduction of costs.

Introduction
Daily experience asks the professional orthodontist to face the ever increasing demands of the patient.
In cases where it is impossible to recuperate the patients’ existing dentition,an implant and prosthesis is the ideal solution. Infact the classicaluse of removable prosthesis is increasingly less acceptable to patients, especially if the patient is young and has continuing public interaction.
Implants should be considered a valid solution in both mono and plural edentulism. The objectives every clinic should establish are the following:
-To achieve perfect bone integration with the implants
-To achieve durable health of the soft tissues
Up until recently these procedures required lengthy periods and many return visits, increasing discomfort and cost to the patient.
Bone resorption, which will almost inevitably occur in delayed implants, must also be carefully considered.
For this reason where conditions permit post extraction loads should be considered as the best option.
Conical shaped implants, especially incases of poor bone quality are without doubt advantageous in obtaining optimum primary stability, a fundamental prerequisite in the success of this technique.
I will describe two cases which I consider perfect examples of this.
Conclusion
In patients with severe toothmovement and crown root impairment untreatable with guaranteed success, the extraction of the tooth/teeth and the simultaneous positioning of an implant consent an immediate rehabilitation both visual and functional.
The efficiency of conical implants has been demonstrated above all withgingival bone with little corticalization, where it is otherwise problematic to obtain good primary stability.
Immediate post extraction implants could represent a valid therapeutic solution under these conditions.
