PHELIM DISSEMINATION REPORT

This report makes an overview of the dissemination activities i.e. what has been done so far and what will be done in the near future. It also has the recommendations to partner institutions of how to promote project visibility and raise the awareness of the community regarding the importance of mobilizing support for such a pressing issue as it is a public health in different domains covered by the project activities.

Dissemination activities are said to be one of the pillars of the project which are on par with other activities such as delivering the work packages, quality control and monitoring, managing the project activities, etc. Majority of dissemination activities are planned to be carried out for the duration of the project.The activities concerning aforementioned dissemination have neatly been laid out in the “Dissemination and Exploitation Plan”, which can be accessed at the following website: The plan proposes 12 distinctive fields in which the project activities are to be divided into. These activities with respect todissemination, promotion and advertising are planned to be conducted throughout the projectduration. The plan also lays down the deliverables set down to measure the outcomes of the proposed activities.

Note: some of the activitiesare planned for the second and / or third year of the project (e.g. the newsletter publishing) and yet some were carried solely by one institution as it was planned by the project (e.g. logo design created by UNIM, as planned).

This report was compiled based on the information available on the project website, which is very easily navigable and updated regularly as the activities were carried out. It was very easy to track the dissemination activities as the website page is also divided into the core thematic fields proposed by the “Dissemination and Exploitation Plan”. The following tables contain the names of the institutions involved in the dissemination[1], the project activity/-ies carried out, and the plan an institution can inform us about in order to increase the visibility of the project:

Plans for the next 6 months:

- to use the logo and document templates in official reports, presentations, etc. in order to create a uniform, but distinctive identity related to the project;

- to disseminate the promotional material to relevant institutions which are involved with the health sector: Hospitals, Institutes, Fund for Public Health, NGOs concerned with Public Health and Health in general in Montenegro.

Suggestions:

- Some of the partner institutions have already put the logo of the project and published the news concerning the project activities on their websites, but they have not informed the project coordinator of their doings. First recommendation is to send the link of the official website on which the project logo and news were published to project coordinator. The same should be done for social networks announcements and news.

- Partners to the project should explorethe options of employing social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. for promoting their project activities, raising awareness and disseminating the values and deliverables of the project;As PHELIM Facebook group is set up, the news should be shared by the PHELIM members with their friends in order to increase the visibility of the project.

- The websites should be updated promptly and the link should be sent to the project coordinator.

-As the YouTube channel has also been established, the relevant videos should be sent to the coordinator to be published on the aforementioned channel.

- As the media outlets also stream their stories on the YouTube channels, the stories that are covering the PHELIM project should also be sent to the project coordinator to append them to the this heading.

Recommendations:

- Some of the Montenegrin partners have organized workshops and informative days informing the audience on the project goals and aims, activities being conducted so far and those to be carried out in the future and outcomes to be expected. The target group participating in those workshops was more uniform (e.g. only students at the faculty, health care professionals in hospitals, experts in the field). We recommend that the target base should be extended to a wider population in Montenegro in order to raise the awareness of the benefits of the project for the society at large.

- Those partners who have not organized the events of this kind are encouraged to engage in these activities and thus increase the visibility of the project so that muchfirmer connection between the project and Montenegrin society could be established.

The establishment of the Centre could ensure the sustainability of the project in the long run making sure that the project outputs live on after the project completion. It could also be useful for the community as a state-of-the-art hub for research and innovation in the field of public health education.

The partners should decide and agree on the following questions:

- Is the establishment of the Centre a follow-up activity carried out after the project completion?

- Where should the headquarters of the Centre be?

- Should we promote the Centre in these early stages of the project?

This matter should be discussed in the months to come.

In order to let the community learn what we are doing in this project, we should raise the awareness of the importance of the public health education in Montenegro as to which benefits they could expect at the end of the project and what positive and lasting effects it will have on their lives. One of the ways already suggested by the dissemination plan is attendance of the conferences/workshops, cooperation with the media outlets, dissemination of the project achievements to the project-related meetings and project-related conferences and therefore to establish links with other projects i.e. to accomplish the inter-relatedness between the projects.
