Mission

We,theelectedrepresentatives oftheSavannahStateUniversity(SSU)studentbody,theStudent Government Association(SSUSGA),willserveasabridgebetweentheadministration,faculty,staffand students.TheStudentGovernment Associationwillworktostrengthencommunication,effectively addressstudentconcerns,andpromoteacultureofacademicexcellenceatSavannahStateUniversity. Additionally,theStudentGovernment Associationwillworkdiligentlytostrengthentherelationship betweentheuniversityandthegreaterSavannah community.

Vision

TheStudentGovernmentAssociation seekstoimprovecampusmoralandTigerSpirit,helpstudents identifycampusresources, andpromoteapositiverelationshipamongstudents,faculty,staffand administrators. StudentswhoparticipateinStudentGovernmentAssociationsponsoredeventswill enhancetheircollegiateexperienceandbecomemoreprepared tofacethechallengesoftheglobalwork force.

Treateachcollegeasitsown organizationwheretheywill beresponsibleforhosting eventsandresearchpresentationseachsemester.

SGAwill providearewardto thecollegethatdisplayeda combinationofacademic excellence, professionalism,andprestige.

Createa committeecomposedofNon-Traditionalorganization,andgraduatecouncilto streamlinegraduateandnon-traditionalcomplains.

Requesta copyofcalendars foreachbuilding every Fridayto aidorganizations that area partofthe Senateinessencetohostingevents.
