University of North CarolinaAsheville – Department of Music

Scholarship Application

for

Incoming and Currently Enrolled Music Students

The Music Department has a limited number of scholarships available to currently enrolled and incoming music students, ranging in amounts from $350 to $1000. These scholarships are based on merit and on university qualifying guidelines of a 3.0 GPA, full time status (12 hours or more) and stipulations of the donor. Applicants must complete an audition before the faculty in March of the preceding academic year (see Music Department webpage). Students in the Music Technology program must present their Music Technology portfolio at this time.

These departmental scholarships are awarded on a yearly basis. One half of the amount will be available to you in the Fall Semester and the other half in the Spring Semester pending enrollment and participation in an assigned UNCAsheville ensemble each of those semesters. Students already receiving their full amount of financial aid for which they qualify are not eligible for these awards since it will reduce their financial aid package.

You must complete this departmental scholarship application and submit it by the deadline posted on the Music Department webpage to: Scholarship Committee, UNCA Department of Music CPO #2290, One University Heights, Asheville, NC 28804-8510 or via email ().
