Studio Art courses are arranged in a sequential fashion. Each student should consult with his/her advisor or the Academic Catalog for specific course prerequisites. A transfer student or a student beginning his/her studies at the University of Indianapolis beyond the fall semester of a given academic year should consult with his/her advisor about adjustments to this proposed sequence of courses.

Studio Requirement
Six hours in Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, 3D Extended Media, Printmaking, Animation/Illustration or Digital Photography in addition to the required courses for the BFA studio concentration.
** Required 12 hours of Art History – 281, 282, 384, 387, 389
The BFA in Studio Art with studio art concentration in Digital Photography requires ART 387 History of Photography (3 hours) and any 3 of the following Art History courses: Art 281, 282, 384, 389
NOTE: A portfolio review is required for admission into the BFA program. Contact the Art & Design Department for further information.
NOTE: Studio Art major/Bachelor of Fine Arts requires a minimum of 82 hours.

NOTE: A grade of C (2.0 on a 4.0 scale) or higher is required in all courses applying toward the Studio Art Major.
The Bachelor of Fine Art requires a minimum of 120 hours.
This program may require attendance in both day and extended programs classes.
