If it is deemed the search are does not accommodate this number of people, for whatever reason, that search area will be off limits to accompanying persons. BE ESPECIALLY CAREFUL when you have a video or pictures of a search that they are not seen or talked about until the end of the trial!

SHHHHHHH!!!!

Unlike other dog sports, Nosework is a secret. Participants will be directed to and from search areas by volunteers in such a way that the area in not visible to participants until they search. AFTER YOUR SEARCH if a search area is appropriate for observers, you may watch others searching. This is at the discretion of the judge. Please be very careful not to accidentally say anything that will give away information to those waiting to search. Thumbs up or thumbs down only. Be sure and remind any non-nosework friends attending that mum is the word!

REACTIVE DOGS

UKC does not recognize red or yellow bandanas for reactive dogs. There will be no reactive dog parking area or potty area. Each person is responsible for keeping a comfortable distance between their dog and other dogs at all times. Dogs must be on a six foot leash, in a crate, or in the car at all times except when searching, where longer leads or off leash where judge permits will be allowed. It is the responsibility of each dog handler to manage their own dogs. We all want the trial environment to be safe and comfortable for all the dogs and people entered and watching. Please read the rules regarding reactive dogs before entering.
