-Audiologist Supervisor 1985 - 1986; Communication Disorders, Curry School of Education. Supervised graduate speech pathology and audiology clinicians. Developed assessment protocols in for a 3-year Habilitative Audiology Training Program.

1977 – 1981 Communication Disorders, Curry School of Education. Taught graduate and undergraduate courses surveying communication modes, instructional methods, and communication training procedures appropriate for the education and rehabilitation of deaf or hard of hearing children and adults.

-Co-manager; Medical Information and Referral Service. 1982 - 1983. UVA Medical Center. Assisted in establishing a telecommunications consultation and patient referral service. Co-edited premiere edition of a professional directory comprising descriptive summaries of clinical services and physician subspecialties.

- Manager; National Crisis Center for the Deaf, 1981-1982. Established a national, 24-hour, text teletype emergency medical hotline for deaf consumers.

Provided nationwide consultative services to hospitals and emergency services regarding deaf persons' communication needs.

-Communications Manager; National Crisis Center for the Deaf, 1980-1981. Developed patient information materials for deaf persons.
