Preparing for global careers

Today’s unprecedented demand for a work force equipped with global skills requires diverse and practical experience. An international perspective is best learned through living and working abroad, facilitating true understanding of a culture.

Richmond has designed and supported the International Internship Program to combine individual attention with a unique opportunity to work in Britain. If you are interested in business or finance, possible internships include banks, trading, business analysis and development in large or small companies. Contemplating a career in media or film making? Try an internship working for a magazine or production company. Performing arts internships place you with theatres, music companies, entertainment managers and theatre agents.

Preparing for the global workplace

The London Internship Program prepares delegates for the realities of the professional workplace and helps them develop skills and experience for the global work environment. The program staff support and prepare delegates in an attentive atmosphere in which the delegates’ goals and abilities are of paramount importance.

Working together with internship staff members, delegates are placed in a suitable internship that correlates with the delegate’s needs and goals.

London, with its population of seven million, boasts culturally rich museums, libraries, famous theatres, concert halls and historic buildings. An exciting and easily navigable city, London is a major political, financial and cultural center that is graced with more parks and gardens that any other capital in the world.

London is home to many multinational businesses, international agencies and charities. The City is Europe’s financial center where international banks, investment institutions and financial offices deal globally. The British political tradition is centered around the Parliament and contains political agencies and lobbyists, as well as the offices of the Members of the European Parliament.
