Guidelines for Application

We are very pleased to inform you ofthe details of the TUT International StudentProgram 2016, which offers a specialinvitation to students from our partner universities. The purpose of this program for participants is as follows:

(1)to visit TUT and to know its academic program, admission, and scholarship

(2)to visit TUT and to experiencethe lab environment, Japanese language class, and campus life

(3)to gain exposure to Japanese culture and technology

Program Overview

  1. Period:from 6thto 15thof November, 2016
  2. Number of participants:

(1)4 students each from NEU and NMIT

(2)3 students each from ITB, UNHAS, USM, and HCMUT

(3) There is no need for accompanying instructors or staff from each university.

  1. Expenses:

(1)Round-trip flight ticket, insurance, local transportation both in Japan and own countries, admission fee of visiting facilities in Japan, meals and personal expenseduring the program

(2)The cost each student has to pay during the stay in Japan is assumed less than 30,000 Japanese yen.

4. Scholarship

(1) 80,000 Japanese yen per student will be paid in cash upon arrival at TUT by Japan Students Support Organization (JASSO).

(2) Education program fee and accommodation (breakfast included) will be covered by TUT.

5. Program:Refer to the attached sheet.

6. Eligible Participants:

(1) enrolled in the 3rd or 4th year of undergraduate school or 1st or 2nd year of master course of each university *NMIT may select the 1st or 2nd year students of undergraduate school.

(2) majoring in engineering and interested in the lab activities of TUT (This consists of mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic information engineering, computer science and engineering, environmental and life science, and architecture and civil engineering. For more information, read

(3) high-achieving, GPA 2.30/3.00 minimumin the latest year

(4) cannot be granted other scholarship (more than 80,000yen) to participate in this program

(5) willing to communicate with studentsfrom other countries in English

(6) knowledge of Japanese language is not necessary

(2)Application forms

(3) Copies of the passports (photo page) of the participantsin PDF format

(4) Transcripts or records of academic achievement of the participants in English
