Take Caboolture turnoff from Bruce Highway, proceed west through Caboolture and follow D’Aguilar Highway through Woodford and on to Kilcoy. The Yowie Park makes a great spot for a rest stop – scenic spot with toilets, a number of tables, and even a BBQ or 2. The bakery just across the road also sells coffee, or the BP servo back on the corner has a good selection of hot foodsand cold drinks.

Proceed west through Kilcoy - LPG is available at Freedom(?) Service station on LHS just down the road from the Yowie Park, bowsers for LPG and Diesel is down RHS of building.

(If coming via Esk and Brisbane Valley Highway start here- turn left at D’Aguilar Highway T junction)

Follow the D’Aguilar Highway through Moore, Blackbutt, Yarraman and on to Nanango.

You will reach a 4 way intersection in heart of Nanango – proceed straight through this intersection to take the Burnett Highway towards Goomeri (do not turn left towards Kingaroy)

Follow the Burnett Highway approx 10km’s out of town and you will find a branch to the right – turn off here onto Manumbar Rd and follow this road. This road is mostly bitumen but there are 2gravel stretches – maybe 5km’s each. Continue to follow this road straight through, disregard side branches, etc. After approximately 30 km’s you will pass through the Elgin Vale gate/arch – you’ll know it when you see it.

After another 10km’s you will come to a 4 way intersection with a dirt road.

CAUTION - you MUST give way here, even though you are on a bitumen road and the other road is gravel. That is the main Kilcoy-Murgon Road and it tends to carry more traffic, including trucks, than the road you are on.

Continue straight ahead along Manumbar Rd for 6 km’s then turn left into Kinbombi Falls Rd and follow this for another 5km’s. You will come to a turn off on the right with clear signage for the Barambah EEC.Follow this road for 3 km’s and you are there!
