Practical details

The Slovak National agency of the Lifelong Learning Programme is going to organise a contact seminar focused on the “Traditional Handcrafts” topic.

Venue:

This seminar is going to be held in Bratislava, between 9 and 12 December 2010, within the framework of Grundtvig Learning Partnerships.

Action: Grundtvig Learning Partnerships

The Grundtvig Learning Partnership belongs to the small-scale co-operation activities between organisations working in the field of adult learning in order to develop one or more common interest subjects for the participating institutions. The learning partnerships are focused on active participation of smaller organisations that want to include European co-operation in their educational activities.

What is a contact seminar?

A contact seminar is a networking event organised by the National Agency. It is a great 'partner-finding' opportunity that will also allow you to:

v  To create new Grundtvig Learning partnerships by establishing contacts between directors, teachers, trainers and other educative staff from adult education institutions from different European countries;

v  To stimulate the development of new strategies and methodologies for adult education

v  To promote the exchange of information and to share experiences between different participating institutions;

v  To implement new pedagogical approaches;

v  To promote a greater involvement of the adult education institutions devoted to teaching adults with special needs;

v  To promote the equality of opportunities.

It is our intention to invite directors, teachers, trainers and other educational staff from adult education institutions from all countries involved in the LLP Programme, as well as the representatives from all National Agencies to accompany their country’s delegations to the seminar.

Maximum three participants from each country including one representative of the NA, max. 30 participants.

Working language: English

Contact Seminar Fee: We only accept participants granted by their National Agency. The seminar fee is 500 EUR per participant. It shall cover costs accommodation, meals, documentation and participation in cultural event. This payment should be made by bank transfer. The approved participants by their national agencies, will be given concrete details on the account number, payment deadline.

What to prepare?

We encourage all participants to bring with them some materials that present their institutions/organizations and activities, namely posters, brochures, photos, together with some information on their regions.

We also ask all participants for their collaboration in the organization of a European buffet on the first evening, so everybody is invited to bring some typical culinary product from their countries or regions (small amount of anything edible/drinkable is welcome) to share with the group.
