Town Board meeting was called to order on June 6, 2017 at 7:04p.m. at the Star Prairie Town Hall,2118 Cook Drive, Somerset, WI 54025. Present:Tom Heintz, Michele Hermansen,Joe Schachtner,Steve Lewis,Darryl Wendt,Michael Burke, Clerk/Treasurer and Attorney,Tim Scott

Approval of Minutes: Motion byLewis/Schachtner toapprove theMay 2, 2017 minutes. Motion carried.
Public Comments:Nancy Karastes wanted to thank Steve Lewis for the nice job he’s been doing on mowing the town’s ditches.
Treasurer’s Report: – Motion byLewis/Schachtnerto approve the Treasurer’s report forMay, 2017.Motion carried
Building Permits: Motion by Schachtner/Lewisto approve the building permits for the month of May, 2017. Motion carried.
Approval of Operator’s Licenses - Motion by Schachtner/Lewis to approve the licenses to serve for the Cedar Creek Inn: Matthew Springer, John Trautmiller, Lynn Howard, Deborah Schmidt, Megan Springer, Diane Kohls and LeeAnn Heeren. Motion carried. Motion by Lewis/Schachtner to approve the licenses to serve for Alice, Inc: Stephanie Bruce, Crystal Edwards. Motion carried. Motion by Schachtner/Lewis to approve the licenses to serve for Meister’s: James A Meister, James E Meister. Motion carried Motion by Schachtner/Lewis to approve the licenses to serve for St Croix Valley Sports Club: William Cardinal, William Raleigh, Crystal Edwards. Motion carried. Approval of Class B – Liquor/Beer Licenses & Class B – Beer Licenses: Alice, Inc: Motion by Wendt/Lewis to approve the liquor license for Alice, Inc. Motion carried. Cedar Creek Inn: Motion by Lewis/Schachtner to approve the liquor license for Cedar Creek Inn. Motion carried. JJ Enterprises of New Richmond, Inc: Motion by Lewis/Schachtner to approve the liquor license for JJ Enterprises of New Richmond, Inc. Motion carried. James A Meister, Inc: Motion by Lewis/Schachtner to approve the liquor license for James A. Meister, Inc. Motion carried. Approval of Mobile Home Park Licenses – Motion by Lewis/Schachtner to approve mobile home park license for Huntingdon Mobile Home Park. Motion carried. Motion by Lewis/Schachtner to approve the mobile home park license for the Wall Street Village Mobile Home Park. Motion carried.
Approval of Tubing License: Motion by Lewis/Schachtner to approve a tubing license for St Croix Valley Sports Club, Inc. Motion carried.
Approval of Tubing Establishments dropping off tubers in the Town of Star Prairie: Motion by Schachtner/Lewis to approve tubing drop-off licenses for Apple River Hide-Away. Motion carried Motion by Schachtner/Lewis to approve tubing drop-off licenses forFloat-Rite Park. Motion carried. Motion by Schachtner/Lewis to approve tubing drop-off licenses for Apple River Family Campground. Motion carried
June 6, 2017 Town Board Meeting continued
Approval of Boating Drop Off License in the Town of Star Prairie: Motion by Schachtner/Lewis to approve boating drop-off license for Apple River Kayak. Motion carried
Farm House Demolition: Discussed the various expenses associated with the demolition and removal of the farm house, disposal of used tires and removal of several trees on the property. Motion by Lewis/Wendt to proceed with the demolition and removal of the farm house. Total expenses not to exceed $25,250. In a roll call vote: Wendt, Hermansen, Schachtner, Lewis and Heintz voted yes. None were opposed. Motion carried.
Town Road Maintenance: Discussed the status of road repairs. Supervisor Lewis reported that the 1st mowing of the town ditches is nearly completed. County Highway will need to make some additional road repairs in a couple of areas that were missed. Crews are currently shouldering 110th Street. This project is nearing completion. No action was taken.
