TOURNAMENT EXTRAS

  • Weather or other extenuating circumstances that occur during tournament play that limit the number of games played will determine the following refund:
  • 1 game played = 50% refund
  • 2 games or more played = no refund
  • There are no batting cages available for use at WSU. Teams can hit whiffles or hit into sock nets on the practice field next to the hitting facility. McDonald Park at Colfax has two batting cages. Pullman HS also has two batting cages, which will have reserved times as follows:
  • Each team playing the next scheduled game at WSU will have one cage reserved 1 hour 45 minutes before game time until 1 hour 15 minutes before game time.
  • Each team playing the next scheduled game at Pullman HS will have one cage reserved 1 hour 15 minutes before game time until 45 minutes before game time.
  • Players need to have molded rubber/plastic spiked cleats to use for all games played on WSU’s Bailey-Brayton field. NO METAL SPIKES are allowed on WSUs field during the Palouse Summer Series
  • WSU put in brand new padding on the outfield fence and all the way around the backstop. Please make sure players are not throwing balls off the pads or contacting them in any way. Aside from contact made inadvertently during the course of the game, no one should be touching the pads.
  • Baseballs will be provided by the Palouse Summer Series and be handled by the site supervisors and the umpires. Each starting pitcher of every game will receive a new game ball and the umpires will work with the supervisors to monitor the use of brand new baseballs as well as when a baseball will be removed from use. Each team will be responsible for chasing foul balls and with the help of the site employees we will return baseballs to the umpires as quickly as possible. Any other fans can return baseballs to the marketing/concession area of any of the sites. PLEASE MAKE SURE NEW AND USED BASEBALLS ARE RETURNED TO THE PSS STAFF OR LEFT IN THE DUGOUTS AFTER THE GAME.
  • There are gate fees for all non-players/coaches at all playing sites. Players and coaches will be given a tournament pass good for entire tournament. Names must be submitted on team roster prior to the tournament start. Children under 12 years of age are admitted free.
  • Tournament t-shirts will be sold for $12.00 to all players, coaches and fans. Programs are available for $1.00.

•WSU Parking will enforce the Yellow 1 lot adjacent to the stadium, plus all other university parking permit required spaces, on weekdays during the posted times. Daily permits can be purchased at the vending machine located just south of the main gate of the stadium. The tournament is not responsible for any parking tickets.

  • Players who hit a home run during any game of the tournament will receive a token for a free sundae from Dairy Queen. Please see the site supervisor after the game to receive your voucher.
  • Alcohol and tobacco products are not allowed at any tournament site.
