Chapter 1 - Fishing
Basis and Purpose:
These regulations implement fishing restrictions on the City of Loveland’s newly-acquired River’s Edge property, including three ponds. This property is immediately adjacent to Jayhawker ponds, currently open to public fishing. Sampling of the River’s Edge Ponds indicate the need for implementing special regulations to protect the aquatic resources once the ponds are open to public fishing. To provide consistent, understandable and enforceable regulations at the River’s Edge-Jayhawker complex these regulations create identical restrictions at each of the five ponds.
The primary statutory authority for these regulations can be found in §24-4-103, C.R.S., and the state Wildlife Act, §§33-1-101 to 33-6-209, C.R.S., specifically including, but not limited to: §§33-1-106, C.R.S.
EFFECTIVE DATE - THESE REGULATIONS SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE APRIL 1, 2013 AND SHALL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT UNTIL REPEALED, AMENDED OR SUPERSEDED.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED BY THE PARKS AND WILDLIFE COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF COLORADO THIS 10th DAY OF JANUARY, 2013.
