Lafayette School Corporation is pleased to offer you an electronic registration process for the 2015-2016 school year. This digital process is designed to accommodate the registration needs of the family, conserve resources, make better use of time, and prepare for the informational partnership between home and school. The majority of forms and information will be captured within the digital process. Schools will request very few, if any forms, to be completed in the traditional paper/pencil manner. Schools will accept hard copies of physicals, immunizations, birth certificates, etc. from families.

The On-line Registration window will open again on July 20, 2015. Families completing the process by August 7, 2015strengthen the opportunity for their son or daughter to have important information prior to the first day of school. Completing the process by August 7 also ensures that your son or daughter will have a smoother transition into the start of a new school year.Families with an active or current Parent Account can begin the registration process any time after July 20th. If you do not have an active PowerSchool Account, you will need to follow the steps below to initiate the registration process. If you are new to the corporation, you will need to work with school personnel to have your child placed in the system.

Below are the steps you should take to activate your account and register:

  1. Go to and click on the Parent>Informational Resources>PowerSchool tabs. This will take you to the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
  2. Click on Create Account and complete the steps for account set-up. This will require an active email address.
  3. Use provided ID and Password to add student(s) to your account.
  4. Enter the green On-line Registration at the upper right hand of the student account page.
  5. Provide necessary information or make corrections to current information.
  6. Complete all screens in one sitting to avoid the loss of entered information.
  7. Submit registration upon completion of all forms.
  8. Re-enter your Parent Account after 48 hours to review submitted updates, changes, or information. The 48 hour window may vary as secretarial staffing is available over the summer.

Schools will open their doors Corporation-wide on July 31 and August 3, 2015 for on-site registration. Times and locations are outlined in the Corporation Newsletter and on the Corporation web page. If you would like assistance activating your Parent Account, please plan to attend an on-site registration event. If you are unable to attend, please call your child’s school office to secure a time and date that might best serve you and the school.
