Fee: $15 per participant
PERTINENT INFORMATION:
1. As noted above there will be a $15.00 registration fee for each participant. A check made out to PIAA District V should
accompany the registration form.
2. There will be a separate tournament for Boys and Girls. Both tournaments will take place on the date and at the site
mentioned above.
3. Schools with a boys team or co-ed team will play five (5) golfers and score four (4) golfers. Schools with a girls team will
play up to five (5) girls and score three (3) golfers. All substitutes should be listed on each team roster. There are no
substitutions unless injury or illness and approved by the Tournament Director. Schools who do not meet the minimum
numbers of players for a team are not eligible to be the district team champion.
4. Four (4) boys and two (2) girls will advance from the district tournament to the regional qualifier.
5. The District V team champions will play the District VI team champions to advance to the PIAA Team Championship.
District V will host this competition at Iron Masters Country Club on Thursday, October 12th at 10:00AM with Friday
October 13th serving as the rain date. In order for a team to advance to the state tournament, the boys’ team must shoot
400 or less and the girls’ team must shoot 300 or less.
6. The regional competition for boys will play five (5) golfers and score four (4) golfers. Girls regional competition will play
five (5) and score three (3). All substitutes should be listed on each team roster. There are no substitutions unless injury
or illness and approved by the Tournament Director.
7. Schools may enter participants in the District Tournament even though the school does not sponsor a team during the
regular season. This applies to both boys and girls. See Attachment #1.
8. Schools may field a team comprised of both males and females if they do not field both a male and female team. For instance, a school’s team may be comprised of four boys and one girl. If a school has three female golfers, that is a female team.
9. Each school must have a coach accompany their team to the tournament. If you have girls competing, schools should bring a second coach and include their name on the registration form.
10. Please complete and return the form below to the Tournament Director no later than Thursday, September 28, 2017. Please send your entry fee check with this registration.
11. The PIAA West Individual Region Tourney will be held October 16, 2017 at Tom’s Run Golf Course in Blairsville, PA.
12. The PIAA State Individual Tournament will be held October 23 and 24, 2017 at Heritage Hills Golf Resort in York, PA.
13. The PIAA Team Tourney will be held October 25, 2017 at Heritage Hills Golf Resort in York, PA.

The following is the position of the District V committee:
Schools that do not sponsor golf as a sport may enter individuals in the District V Tournament pending the following requirements:
· Each school participating in the tournament must have a coach accompany them on the day of the tournament.
· All participating students must have a physical examination and maintain PIAA academic eligibility.
· Eligibility sheets must be made available to other schools participating in the District V Tournament.
· No school that has entered in to a cooperative agreement with another school may enter contestants in the individual competition.
