Role Objective:
The AccommodationSupervisor works closely with the Accommodation Manager to effectively control the full operations of the Accommodation Department within their appointed hotel.
The Accommodation Supervisor role will be responsible in the absence of the Accommodation Manager for the total presentation of the property in keeping with a four star grading from theHotel.
They will assist the housekeeping department staff clean and maintain guest bedrooms and public spaces in accordance with client/guest expectations and Dalata Hotel Groups standards of product and service.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership:
  1. To assist the Accommodation Manager to maintain the budget of the department.
  2. Responsible for for managing and achieving your own departmental targets and to assist others to do the same.
  3. To assist the Accommodation Manager to oversee all operational activities to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards set by hotel.
  4. Communicates effectively in English, both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction in assigning and instructing Accommodationstaff in details of work.
  5. To assist the Accommodation Manager with orders and stock control.
  6. Builds trust and leads by role modelling the values of integrity, compassion and professionalism.
  7. Promotes a positive working atmosphere by supporting a culture of empowerment, transparency and development.
  8. Has a clear understanding of the organisation’s vision and direction.
  9. Demonstrates a commitment to deliver high performaning team and excellent quality service at all time.
  10. Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for employees as and when required.

Customer & Guest Focus
  1. Arranges work schedules of line employees, determining days off, ensuring staffing levels are based on occupancy and/or any current or anticipated events. Submits payroll records, correcting errors to insure pay is on time.
  2. Ensure the Guest recieves an excellent standard of housekeeping at all times.
  3. Ensure all hotel bedrooms & public areas are cleaned and maintained to extremely high standard.
  4. Constantly evaluates condition of furniture, fixtures, equipment, linen items, supplies and decor, etc and reports any concerns to management.
  5. To be available during all peak times for the hotel.
  6. To work in line with company health and safety policies.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Criteria / Desirable Criteria / Measurement Method
Circumstances / -Willingness to work flexible hours required for the job to include evening and weekend work.
-Be fluent in English
-All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
-Must be eligible to work in Northern Ireland / Application
Technical & Professional Expertise / -Must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience as anaccommodation and/or housekeeping supervisor in the cleaning industry
OR
-2 years continuous experience in a housekeeping position in the cleaning industry.
AND
-Experience in a high volume and quality focused establishment.
-Proficiency in the use of IT.
-Must demonstrate longevity and commitment in previous job roles. / -To have a working knowledge PMS.
-Experience within the hospitality sector is preferable. / Application
