RE:The Annual Oakcrest Ski Trip to Whitetail Ski Resort

It’s time to gather up your gear and pray for snow!Oakcrest is heading to the slopes of Whitetail Ski Resort onFriday, February 12for a day of skiing and snowboarding.Oakcrest students and their family members of all skiing abilities are invited.Note: there is no Upper School show practice this day so ALL girls are free to ski.

As in the past, the trip is being organized and chaperoned by Oakcrest parents. The more parents we have participating, the merrier and more smoothly run the trip will be.So whether you are a proficient skier who prefers to be out on the slopes or a parent who prefers to keep the lodge fires burning, your help would be appreciated.Rest assured that this trip will be as much fun for the parents as it will be for the students! To volunteer, please email Caroline Lulli todayat .

We have arranged bus transportation for those interested. If siblings would like to ride the bus, they must be accompanied by a parent.Check-in for the bus(s) will be at 7:00 a.m.sharpat Oakcrest, so that we can distribute tickets and bus assignments before leaving. The bus will return to Oakcrest at 6:30 p.m. or so later that day. For those of you driving, Whitetail is about 90minutes from Oakcrest just over the Maryland border in Mercersburg, PA. If you can take a few kids, please let us know.

Lunch can be purchased the day of the trip at Whitetail or you can sign up in advance for a discounted lunch plan.A brown-bag lunch from home is fine too. Regardless, each person may want to bring a few dollars for snacks and a gear locker.

In order to attend the ski trip, you will need to do the following:

  1. Complete the "Ski Trip Participant Form"for each participant (student, parent, sibling, etc.). Be sure to completeevery field on the form without exceptions.Every year we receive many forms with missing information, requiring additional follow-ups and time.
  2. Write a check made payable to Oakcrest Parents Association for the correct amount, based on your choices on the Participant Form.
  3. If you’re renting equipment, fill out and sign the "2016Rental Form"for each renter(top only) and bring the form(s) to the resort (write “Oakcrest” at the top of the form).

The Ski Trip Participant Formsand the check should be returned in one envelopeper family to the front office, made to theattention of “SKI TRIP”no later than Thurday, February 4th, but earlier if possible. TICKETS WILL BE ORDERED AT 5 PM THAT DAY!!! The Rental Forms should be taken to the resort.

If you have any questions, either call or send me an email. Before signing off, I’d like to thank Ms. Ortiz and the Oakcrest administration for providing us with this fun opportunity!

Sincerely,

Ignacio Lulli(Carolina 2012, Sofia 2016 and Daniela 2018)
