  • Place furniture in D-L1-025
/ Faculty affairs / 4
Faculty suggested a need for a special room for make-up tests
  • Most faculty provide make-ups in their own office
  • Cubical spaces in the UC administrative suite in R-L2 could be utilized – AA will not administer make-ups
Student make-up test
  • Students should be notified that there would be no make-ups without a legitimate reason – students must appeal to Assist Dean
Incomplete grade
  • If a student cannot complete required course assignments (eg, giving birth), faculty must fulfil the “Incomplete grade” request form prior to the final exam week
  • Make-ups will be administered during the first week of the following semester
Faculty suggested allowing students “re-take“ exams/tests
  • In UC, students are not allowed to override earlier grades with re-taken exams/tests

Classroom space
  • Some classrooms are too small to hold students (not enough desks/chairs)
  • Classroom size/shape is not appropriate for activities
  • Inappropriate interval between desks to administer tests
  • Difficult to see board/projector
Learning environment
  • Classrooms should be set to enhance engaged teaching/learning - easy for group work, mobile learning, etc.
  • 21st century classrooms should be nice in terms of space, layout, and furniture - new methods of teaching and learning!
Increase in studentenrollments
  • Faculty expressed concern about the increased number of students (per class, per faculty) and how this is affecting teaching quality, feedback, andinteraction
  • It seems that student learning outcomes are not affected at this point
