TITLE: Axis Consulting is recruiting two directors to run the organization (DEADLINE September 22)

BACKGROUND

Axis Consulting, part of Enactus SFU, is a student-run consulting organization. We provide pro-bono consulting services for organizations that positively impact our community.

The program can be segmented into two components:

·  Cases (similar to case competitions, but developing your own data and providing recommendations and action plans for real clients)

·  Implementation (mobilizing students from various backgrounds to implement an action plan)

Last year, Axis Consulting worked with 3 clients and was presented at the Enactus Canada National Exposition, where SFU was a semi-finalist among 62 Canadian universities.

SCOPE

The Director of Cases and Director of Implementation will lead their respective segments of Axis Consulting. They will be going through elite training programs to ensure that their they are equipped to manage the organization. The positions will last until early June 2014, requiring a commitment level of 15-20 hours per week.

The following elaborates on both positions:

Director of Cases

The Director of Cases is a future partner at a global consulting firm. They are highly logical and analytical in their approach to problem solving, while being capable of communicating complex ideas to their peers.

Description:

·  Overlook the Cases component of Axis Consulting

·  Coordinate and work with Case teams to:

o  Gather data and information about clients’ operations, organization, and environment.

o  Develop recommendations and presentations with case teams

o  Develop action plans with case teams to transition to Implementation

·  Oversee and coordinate case projects

·  Develop training and quality control measures for students on case teams

·  Develop and maintain relationships with clients and prospects, as well as professionals in the consulting industry.

Director of Implementation

The Director of Implementation is a future CEO. They are capable leaders that are always looking to get things done more efficiently and effectively.

Description:

·  Overlook the Implementation component of Axis Consulting

·  Coordinate and work with project teams and project managers

·  Oversee projects related to Marketing, Operations, Finance, MIS, HR, and more

·  Lead recruitment and resource management

·  Oversee and coordinate implementation projects

·  Develop training and quality control measures for students in projects
