Title: Application and School Data Specialist
Reporting to: Reporting to Director of Education Services
Objectives:
Primarily office-based in Cambridge and working in our Education Services Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the rapidly-increasing number of schools using GO 4 Schools are getting the maximum possible benefit from the software.
In contrast to our Technical Support Team which responds to inbound queries, this role will primarily involve outbound communication, with responsibility for proactively targeting and contacting of customers to offer (and deliver) advice and support. Occasional regional and national travel will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Usage monitoring – Developing and executing efficient processes for monitoring usage of GO 4 Schools by customers to identify those who may need advice and support.
Customer contact and support – Proactively contacting customers to offer appropriate advice, and to deliver training over the phone, via remote sessions and occasionally on-site. Developing processes to provide practical advice and support to customers as efficiently as possible. Contributing to the development of supporting materials and training guidance to promote best practice across all users of GO 4 Schools. Following up with the appropriate in-house teams to achieve the best outcomes for customers.
Hub school training – Supporting the development of a school-based data managers’ network to facilitate school-on-school training. Providing hub schools with continued training to help them deliver approved training on our behalf to support the continued growth of the system.
Education guidance and training - Developing your product knowledge to super-user level and contributing to producing best-practice methodologies and strategies to help schools work as effectively as possible with their data. Sharing best-practice guidance with external trainers and with schools via training and supporting materials. Analysis of statistical data to review patterns and trends linked to school usage of aspects of the software.
In-house and regional training events – Planning and delivering training courses to support school data managers in the operational use of GO 4 Schools to ensure data is accurate and the system is set up and used to maximise its effectiveness. Training courses are run from the offices in Cambridge or hosted regionally in schools. Good presentation skills and the ability to reflect on feedback to improve and develop course delivery and materials is paramount.
Product development - Liaising with the software development team, feeding back from communication with schools and applying your knowledge of the latest initiatives, external school requirements and Ofsted / Government requirements. Managing the Change Request process, ensuring schools are kept up to date. Application of knowledge of school MIS and advising teams on in-school operations and updates.
Other responsibilities:
- Contribution to newsletters, our Twitter feed and others marketing materials
- Maintaining accurate records in our CRM system
- Developing a GO 4 Schools training courses for data managers
- Keeping on top of developments in school data and cascading information to the other teams
