STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1. CJHS TEEN WRITERS: Want to write a book this November? Mrs. Rollans will be participating in National Novel

2. BOOK CLUB – 9th GRADE: Ninth grade Book Club will meet in Mrs. Francis’s room (2008) Friday at lunch.

3. NEW -RED RIBBON POSTER CONTEST: Students can enter a poster contest, sponsored by the Counseling

Center. The poster’s theme, must pertain to the Red Ribbon purpose, which is to create an awareness of the dangers of

alcohol and drugs. Prizes will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place winners. Information about Red Ribbon can be

found at Posters can be dropped off in the North Office.

Contest rules: Submit by Friday, October 18th

Artwork must be student’s own work

Artwork must reflect the positive messages of “Red Ribbon”

Each poster must have the following on the back: 1. First & Last Name2. Grade

4. GIRLS SOCCER TEAM: Any 9th grade young lady interested in playing soccer for CHS needs to attend the Soccer

Information meeting Wednesday, October 23rd in room 1039 (Coach DeStefano’s room) at 3:20 p.m. This is a

mandatory meeting for those interested in playing Lady Cat soccer. If you have any questions or cannot attend the

meeting, please email Coach DeStefano or go by his room to discuss the issue. Go Lady Cats!!!

5. CONWAY PRIDE T-SHIRTS: Students see Coach L. Johnson or your FAVORITE girls’ basketball player to order

your CONWAY PRIDE tee today! They come in blue and white so you can show school spirit with whatever color

YOU LIKE!!! $10.00 for small to X-large, $12.00 for 2XL and up. Pre order yours before October 16th and get it

back in time to work on the big Blue/White football game!

6. STUDENT COUNCIL: The Student Council members will be meeting with Dr. Murry TODAY in room 220 in the

South building from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. They will be served lunch and work on the SWOT activities with him. The

following students need to make up any work they may miss during this time: Alex Burlison, Hadiyah Cummings,

Andrew Rodriguez, Kaleigh Smith, JaKayla Storey, Jillian Tang, Alyssa Bohm, Matthew Henninger, Kaymon Neal,

Gaylon Jeffrey, Hannah Ables, Beth Fernbacher, Sidney Hensley, Stefani Howington, Cody Biddle, Kellirae Perrine,

and Sam Revis.

7. FLU VACCINES: Flu vaccines will be given Wednesday, November 13th. Order forms are on the CPS website and

in the South Office. The nurse MUST have your form by Friday, October 25th.

8. Conway Public Schools La Fiesta Orquesta Dinner and Silent Auction will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday,

November 18th at the CHS Cafeteria and Buzz Bolding Arena. Performances by the Orchestra will be free and is open

to the public. The auction and dinner are also open to the public and advanced tickets may be purchased from any

orchestra studentthrough Tuesday, October 29th, cost is $8.00 for adults / $5.00 for children under 12 years of age.

9. STUDENT COUNCIL OFFICERS MEETING: Mrs. Ferrand needs to meet with the Student Council officers

Monday, October 21st during ninth (9th) grade lunch.

10. Congratulations to the following students who earned a spot in the West Central All-Region Choir this past weekend

at Clarksville. These students were among 1,208 other Junior High students from across our region fighting for a spot

in the choir. Maggie Carroll, Kiana Ross, Madeline Leicht, Savannah Raup, Anna Mabrey, Alec Buddenberg, Sara

Grace Meek, Hannah Martin, Anna Beth Townsend, Ben Thompson, Nash Roach, Austin Henderson, Andrea Beggs,

Asher Owen, Tares Hunt, Montanna Owens, Brittany Baker, Mya Ayika, Breanna Chaney, Neely Caudle, Hannah

Smith, Roxana Freeman, Madison Stephens, Kylie Dallas, Whitney Wallace, Maya Van Belle, Hadassah Schwarz,

Morgan Van Kampen, Tori Burton, Ashlynn Gregg, Zach Renfroe, and Seth Guidry who earned 1st chair in the

Region.
