The Christchurch City Council Construction Standard Specifications series contains details of methods and acceptable materials to construct assets that will be taken over or maintained by Christchurch City Council.

This web page details the current materials approved for use within Christchurch City Council’s lighting, roading, water, wastewater and surface water systems.

STREETLIGHTING MATERIALS

IDS Part 11: Lighting sets out Council’s requirements for luminaires, columns and outreach arms.

Luminaires

Currently approved LED luminaires are detailed here[YM1]. Please read the notes at the bottom of these pages. As lighting technologies are changing rapidly, this list will be frequently updated. The Guidelines for the Provision of Data for the Assessment of LED Luminaires[YM2] sets out information to be provided when applying to use an LED which is not currently approved. Submit a completed Luminaire Description with your application, using the LED Road Lighting Luminaire Data Form [YM3]to ensure all required information is provided.
