This is the Bestiary to convert the level 1AD&D adventure “The Village of Hommlet” to D&D Next. It assumes there are 5 players.

This conversion is based on the 10/8/12 playtest packet and also the comments that players are currently doing too much damage. So, on average 20 hit points has been added to each original Hommlet encounter. The monsters also have a +2 to hit above the current playtest monsters.

All attacks that hit the green slime deal half damage to the slime and half damage to the engulfed target. The target can escape with a DC 16 Dexterity check as an Action. On a success the green slime appears in a space adjacent to the target.

Cunning Drop: A green slime receives Advantage on attacks, and imposes Disadvantage to the engulf saving throw; to a target that walks underneath a green slime and is unaware of it.
