You will need a high school transcript in addition to a college transcript if you have less than 3 quarters of college level courses (100 or above). If you have GED a copy of your test scores will be needed.

Up to 40 points

  1. A narrative including the following criteria (not more than one page; using correct spelling and grammar):

Anyschool or community activities you may have participated in such as church, service clubs, volunteer positions, etc. and the impact they have had on yourself and the community. Include any honors or awards that you have received and what you’ve learned through these experiences to help aid you in being successful at Yakima Valley Community College

Explain work or life experiences that have brought you to seek further education

Include a short statement explaining why you should be granted this scholarship. Include your educational plans and career goals

Up to 20 points

  1. Please attach two letters of recommendation:

Signed letters should be from recentinstructors or employers and address your ability and work habits or any other factors that would merit receiptof a scholarship. Please note: If you are a current high school/college student you must provide at least one letter from an instructor.
