The Wharton Canal Day Association is pleased to announce its

34th Annual Canal Day to be held on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at

Hugh Force Canal Park. In partnership with Wharton Borough and

The Canal Society of N.J., this year’s event will feature two separate performances stages. Performances will be alternating between these areas to allow for the continued movement of foot traffic.

Enjoy a day of listening to a wide variety of musical entertainers.

Musical performances from New Jersey’s best artists will feature

Rock, Blues, Country, Classical as well as traditional and contemporary Irish Folk Music.

The Wallaby Tales Traveling Zoo will be there to display and

delight children of all ages.

Ethnic delicacies will delight the palette and beautiful hand

made Crafts and Jewelry will be available for purchase.

Take a ride along the Morris Canal in a Mule Drawn Boat or

paddle a Kayak. These are just a few of the numerous activities planned for the day. Please join us in this fabulous day of fun by reserving your 12’ x 12’ area for $40.00.

The undersigned exhibitor agrees to release and hold harmless the Borough of Wharton, Canal Day Association and Committee, and all parties from any and all Liability, for personal injury and/or property damage, theft and/or damage of merchandise arising out of operation of exhibitor. All Exhibitors will adhere to event setup and cleanup times. Exhibitors must be set up in their entirety for the duration of the festival. All Exhibitors must have at least one table. NO merchandise may be displayed on the ground. All booths must remain open for the duration of the festival. Exhibitors must remain in their designated space. Exhibitors are responsible for setting up and tearing down displays and completely clearing their spaces before leaving. Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited at the festival. Morris County Park System Rules and Regulations apply: All provisions of the New Jersey State Motor Vehicle Act and Traffic Laws shall apply in the park and shall be strictly enforced. Application deadline is July 25, 2009. Fee is not refundable unless event is canceled due to inclement weather.
