The Wesham men made a stand at the Hawkshead 10k on Wednesday evening but were outnumbered by the Howgill Harriers. Alex Rowe ran well on the easily graded slopes finishing 4th in 40:33, 1st M55. The course was out and back with a loop at the top; a fast downhill start but with a sting in the tail climb back up to the finish. Steve Myerscough was 20th in 43:30, 4th M40; Nigel Shepherd 60th and 3rd M55, and Debbie Myerscough throwing away all bounds coming in 14th woman and 80th overall in 59:33.
