PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
This program will explore the tenets of the political system and the structure of government in the United States. Throughout a three week period it will examine the:
- US legal system of separation of powers
- Governmental checks and balances
- Citizen participation in the decision-making process
- Role of women and minorities in business, government, community, and social affairs
- Impact of religion on life in the U.S.
- American Muslim leadership
