The Thomasville Area Chamber of Commerce Supports and Endorses Efforts to Develop the I-85

The Thomasville Area Chamber of Commerce supports and endorses efforts to develop the I-85 Corridor Business Park in western Davidson County. While there remain a number of details to be completed, we see great opportunity to enhance the county’s tax base as well as facilitate job creation with diverse and well-paying jobs.

Partners for utility, infrastructure, state government, and even land ownership produce a unique public / private partnership that can bring the business park into reality. The Chamber is excited about the opportunity for this partnership and feels particularly encouraged that Davidson Progress is spearheading the efforts

Through various partners, there are a number of grants and loans that are available with very favorable lending terms. The Chamber supports the concept as presently designed and encourage Davidson County to move forward with loan guarantees.
