Chinese New Year
2017 Year of the Rooster
Last week the children explored the Chinese New Year festival.
The children joined in with a range of activities to find about the culture and customs surrounding this celebration.
Highlights included:
- the story of the Emperor’s race and the naming
- of the years,
- dragon dancing in the school garden,
- lots of creative activities including Green class making a papier mache rooster!
- Lots of traditional music
