Minutes of the MoonRiver Music & Magic Committee of March 13, 2013

Attendance: Buie, Spragins, T., Cinco, Susan & Larry, Baranowski, Fayed, Frank,

Hagerty, Heeb, Stowers, Freeman, Ishler, Underwood, Bonder-Lovelace,

The meeting was called to order by Club President Dwan Buie at 11: 31 am. Trish Spragins chaired the meeting after a few reports. The reports were given as follows:

Classic Auto Show: Bob Underwood indicated that car clubs have received information about the show. He is working on dash plaques and other support from auto companies.

A ride in a classic auto is not likely due to insurance requirements and lack of seat belts.

Silent Auction: Sherrie Stowers reported that 20 items have been received with a target of 50 items to include some baskets (groupings of small items). Wine for baskets is needed. All items are due by April 12 in order to print the program.

F.I.T. Facilities: Susan representing Tony Catanese indicated the Ruth Funk museum and the student bookstore would be open. Susan Cinco is updating the layout and space assignments.

Entertainment: Confirmations by the various musical groups is completed including the

Flash MOB.

Refreshments: Wine (5 cases of white and 5 cases of red) are needed. F.I.T. will not be

providing wine this year. Local sources have been identified.

Print Media and Forms: Jim Hagerty showed samples of the posters and donor request forms. Copy has been provided to area publications and newspapers. Trish suggested the use of local radio and television community calendar segments.

Bruce Heeb report that all forms, minutes, and historical information related to MoonRiver is on the website using the MRMM docs. He handled the printing of the 50/50 raffle tickets.

Sponsor Banner – Jim Hagerty installed the banner at the Club meeting site and it will be updated each week. Jack Pruitt, a non-Rotarian has contributed $1,000.

Fund Raising - Linda Freeman talked about potential sponsors and the need to obtain

gift certificates, restaurant dinner certificates, and other items.

Martini Bar: Suzanne Frank stated that over 100 martini classes have been received and that sufficient gin and vodka is available for the event.

The meeting adjourned at 11:53 am with the next meeting to be held at the call of the Chairperson. Ed Baranowski, Committee Secretary
