In the first floor lobby, this café is open from 7 AM until 3 PM Monday-Friday serving breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages.
Arriving — BART from airports.BART services both San Francisco and Oakland airports.Roundtrip fare from SFO is $17.90.Roundtrip from OAK is $3.80.
The BART ticketing machines can be a bit fussy – worn-out bills and those that are too new generally get rejected.The machines accept take change and paper denominations up to $20. and most credit cards.
Schedule information:
From San Francisco Airport (SFO), follow the BART signs inside the terminal. Take any train headed for Richmond or Pittsburg/Baypoint to the Oakland 12th Street/City Center station.
From Oakland Airport (OAK), take the AirBART shuttle to Coliseum Station ($3 — have exact cash). Take any train headed to Pittsburg/Baypoint, Richmond, San Francisco, or San Francisco Airport to the Oakland 12th Street/City Center station.
Note that the OAK BART station is due to open November 2014. Ticket prices TBD. Station is in the parking lot across from the Southwest Terminal
Exit the station on the Broadway/11th Street side, up the escalator:
At the top of the escalator, turn left on the sidewalk and follow the green cyclone fence to the gate (far left of photo):
Enter the walkway to the doors and into the lobby:
Returning — BART to airports
Returning to SFO, take any train headed to San Francisco Airport.It’s the last stop.
Returning to OAK take any train headed to Dublin/Pleasanton or Union City.Exit at the Coliseum Station and board the AirBART Shuttle ($3) to OAK.

Internet access.The entire Franklin building hosts wireless internet access.User name:UCOPGUEST, password: welcome.
Security.All visitors must be in the security iVisitor database on the day(s) they visit OP.Check with your meeting host to confirm that your name is on the visitor list.When checking in with Security, please present photo ID such as a drivers license or passport.You will be given a paper badge and directed to your meeting location.Please note that the badge must be returned to Security when you check out.
If you are leaving the building after dark and require an escort to BART, please make the request through Security or your meeting host.

Sights, restaurants and entertainment:Lots to do and great places to eat.The Oakland Museum of California, half a mile from the office, was recently remodeled.Great restaurants abound in Downtown, Old Oakland, and Jack London Square, all located near the Franklin building.
