Dear Parents/Caregivers,

2ndACADEMIC COACHING CONFERENCE

The purposes of this conference are:

  • Review the three academic goals.
  • Discuss actions and next steps to work towards these.

This second student-parent-academic coach conferenceis an essential part of the academic coaching programme. You and your daughter should be familiar with her subject specific data i.e. report, assessment data such as e-AsTTLe, literacy, numeracy and/or NCEA. Your daughter should have been monitoring her academic goals on the Ultranet (or Google Drive for some Year 10 form classes).

The conversation at school is led by your daughter and facilitated by heracademic coach(Form Teacher, senior leaderor Non-FormTeacher). It is a 20 minute conference.Your attendance at this conference will certainly help toimprove your daughter’s learning and achievement. Please book one of these dates for each of your daughter(s).

  • Monday 4th July(periods 1-4 timetabled lessons until 1:10pm). Conferencing may start at 2pm, but most will start at 3:40pm. Last appointment is at 7pm.Students will be free to go home. Normal bus services will happen.

Students who are staying at school:

Students who are remaining behind will have supervised lunch-time (1:10-2pm) in Moran, Northcote or Citrus Quads. Thereafter, students must go the library, NC2 and NC4 computer rooms for supervised study-time.

  • Tuesday26thJuly- normal school day followed byconferencing from 3:40pm to 7:20pm (some academic coaches may be available from 2pm).

Students who are staying at school:

Students who are remaining behind until their appointment are to go to the library, NC2 and NC4 computer rooms for supervised study-time.

If you cannot make either of these days, please contact your daughter’s academic coach to arrange a time that suits all parties. It is really important for your daughter’s education that this conference occurs.

As in previous years, appointments are required for this evening. We ask that you make the appointment using “School Interviews” .Please email Mrs Jones you are not sure of who is your daughter’s academic coach. If you need more than 20 minutes, please arrange another appointment outside the report conference.If you are unable to access the internet to make a booking, please have your daughter do so via the school’s computers or you can call the College office to make a booking.Any further queries can be directed to me via
