COURSE:

Ÿ  We are here by kind permission of Defence Estates and the M.O.D. We are also riding within the National Park and over ten different tenant farmer’s land. To enable this event to happen the route has been carefully planned to create as little environmental impact as possible. It is therefore IMPERATIVE that riders stay on the marked course particularly when following quad tracks.

Ÿ  The majority of the going is fairly straight forward. It has therefore been decided to make the check times fairly slack so riders have no need to take unnecessary risks but can enjoy the views along the way.

Ÿ  There will still be at least two special tests for those of you who have to have it against the stop.

Ÿ  Details of the time allowances per class will be available at the start control.

REFUELLING:

Ÿ  Must only take place in the designated areas (between the Green flags) NO SMOKING in these areas.

Ÿ  All crews must provide a fire extinguisher.

Ÿ  Ref: Sunday, riders who are unable to complete a 35 mile (approx.) lap at event speeds, should provide an approved container with extra fuel, which the organisers will transport to the ‘out-check’. The approved container should be clearly marked with the riders race number, no other equipment will be transported.

Ÿ  NOTE : Approved containers not loaded by 08:00 on Sunday will not go !

Ÿ  You have been warned ...... It is your responsibility.....

Ÿ  In the interest of rider safety, no non competitor access will be allowed at the ‘out-check’.

TIME CHECKS:

Ÿ  Will be marked with a White flag at 200 metres and a Yellow flag at 20 metres before the check.

Ÿ  You must NOT pass the Yellow flag to check in before your designated time

Ÿ  Timing as per British Championship

MACHINE EXAMINATION

Ÿ  Will be between 10:00.am. and 12:00a.m. on Saturday (Strictly NO late examinations)

Ÿ  Machines will be examined in accordance with E.S.R. 11.

Ÿ  It is the driver's / entrant's responsibility to ensure that the vehicle complies with all legal requirements.

Ÿ  Front and rear lights must be fitted and working. / Bore & Stroke must be marked on the flywheel cover.

Ÿ  Tyre choice is road legal only (E marked)

Ÿ  The examiner's decision shall be final.

Ÿ  Helmets and clothing will be checked, helmets must carry a new style Gold ACU stamp.

IMPORTANT !! :

Ÿ  PLEASE NOTE. In the interest of rider safety ALL riders must stay on the marked route at all times. The venue for this event is a MOD LIVE FIRING RANGE. Riders who ride off the marked course, will at best find very large (bike swallowing) water filled bomb holes, and at worst unexploded ordnance, Either of these events would severely hamper your medal winning chances.

Ÿ  Any unauthorised person found riding a motorcycle or other vehicle in this area at any time before or after the event will be reported to the relevant authorities and excluded from this and subsequent events. Remember ‘live firing’ means ‘real bullets and bombs’

GENERAL:

Ÿ  At all time competitors and their support crews must give way to other park users, especially horse riders, cyclists & pedestrians. Stop and switch off engines if necessary, areas marked with Blue Tape must be ridden at walking pace.

Ÿ  No dogs unless under strict control and on a lead at all times.

Ÿ  The Start Area is all hardstanding with toilets, and catering will be available on both days.

Ÿ  Please take your litter home and respect the Country Code.
