The Orchard Partnership News
Issue 2, 1st November 2016
Welcome to the Autumn edition of our The Orchard Partnership News. What a year it has been for The Orchard Partnership thus far.
We were inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC)on the 28th September and initial feedback was positive. They were very impressed with the level of patient care we give and also overwhelmed with the positive feedback given to them by patients either verbally during their visit and also the feedback cards patients filled in prior to the visit.
We will, of course, feedback the final report which is due in around a month’s time.
Please remember we always value your feedback and suggestions. Please ask one of our friendly receptionists or see our website for further details on how to do this.
Attendance-Did not attend (DNAs):
In October 219 appointments were booked and not attended. To put this in perspective, this is 2544 minutes’ worth of appointments that were booked and not cancelled or rearranged.
Please can we remind you that if you cannot make your appointment, we understand, but please call up to rearrange so that we can offer your appointment to someone else.
As you all understand our clinicians work very hard to look after you all and a missed appointment is time wasted that they could have spent helping someone else.
Flu:
It is flu season again. Please can we remind you that if you haven’t already had your vaccination then please contact reception and arrange an appointment with our nursing team or indeed if you are seeing your Doctor. Please ask them during your consultation.
Dispensing News:
After careful consideration The Cherry Orchard Surgeryhas made a decision to no longer accept repeat medication requests over the telephone from the 1st December 2016. This is in line with all other GP practices/pharmacies in the area and also a recommendation by the Care Quality Commission (CQC)following on from their recentinspection.
How does this affect me?We want to ensure that this causes as little disturbance as possible. Repeat prescriptions can be placed online (please see reception for further details), via fax 01985 850084, in the surgery or in the secure locked post boxes at the Heytesbury and Wylye post offices. If you have any medication queires please phone reception on 01985 850298.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
In other news, please may we remind you that our dispensaries are very busy and to please allow a clear 48 working hours before picking up your repeat medication. / Christmas:
