Paranormal Investigations are serious attempts to document paranormal activity at a fire museum in Mansfield, Ohio.
WHERE?
The location’s address is 1265 West Fourth St.Mansfield, OH44906. Investigators are to park behind the building by the red awning.
WHEN?
Check in will start at 9:00 PM and conclude at 9:30 p.m., the evening of your scheduled investigation. At check in the Participants will check in, and pay for the evening’s event. Participants will be allowed to enter the building at 9:00 PM. The investigation will end at 2 AM. Participants are allowed to leave at any time, but may not depart the premises and return. This is a security issue.
After welcoming you to the paranormal investigation and becoming acquainted with the rules, guides will then escort you in for a brief tour.
Paranormal investigations are reserved for persons age 18 and older.
We emphasize that paranormal investigations are not sleepovers, therefore, no accommodations are provided.
The MansfieldFireMuseum contains hazards including, but not limited to, narrow and/or steep stairs, uneven surfaces, and low door thresholds.
Paranormal investigations are not recommended for pregnant women.
REGISTRATION RULES AND PAYMENT
1. The Mansfield Fire Museum requires all participants to be 18 years of age or older on the date of your investigation.
2. Every participant must sign the license agreement and waiver of liability, and abide by all rules of the investigation prior to, during, and after the event.
After a investigation is sold out, NO MORE RESERVATIONS will be accepted for that date.
In an effort to keep evidence contamination at a minimum, Investigations are to be sold out at six (6) people, unless other arrangements have been made.
3. If you are attending a investigation with a group of people, or a team, please call or e-mail the coordinator for paranormal investigations (Joe James at 419-295-5002 OR ) and arrange a date to come to The Mansfield Fire Museum that night. Be there at 8:45 pm. Be prepared to have your payment ready and this form filled out 100%. This will make the check in process move more smoothly and quickly, this means more investigation time!
3. A $35.00 fee for eachparanormal investigationparticipant will be charged and must be paid in full prior to the start of the event. This will be paid between 9:00-9:30 p.m.. Each participant must include the license agreement, liability release form,(this form) and payment, and one form of I.D. at the check in time period (9:00-9:30 p.m.)
If you do not have six people, a flat fee of $210.00 will still be charged, and be expected to be paid in full prior to the start of the investigation.
For each person after 6, a $35.00 fee will be due as well. Only more than 6 people may participate in the investigation if it is approved through Joe.
PARANORMAL INVESTIGATION RULES
The image of The Mansfield Fire Museum is copyrighted. Any photography, audio, or video evidence captured during a paranormal investigation are for PERSONAL USE ONLY! Any other use of this footage without the written permission from the location will result in legal action.
1. To deter items being removed from The Mansfield Fire Museum, only small camera bags or “fanny packs” are permitted on any one person. Leave any extra items, cases, bags etc…in your vehicle or at the ‘base‘. The Base is a designated area inside The Mansfield Fire Museum, as to where investigators/ teams may come back for a break, leave extra equipment, equipment cases and is also an area where teams may set up DVR equipment/ monitors. You are allowed to exit the building and go to your vehicle at any time. On account of all doors being locked, a P.A.C.E. official, or The Mansfield Fire Museum representative must accompany you to and from your car.
2. Smoking is NOT permitted inside the building.
3. No cell phones are permitted on investigations as these may interfere with EMF readings.
4. No drugs or alcohol. Anyone found using drugs or alcohol will be immediately escorted from the premises.
5. No Séances or Ouija boards. Use of Ouija boards or conducting a séance will result in immediate expulsion from the premises.
6. Removal, damage or desecration of any MansfieldFireMuseumproperty will result in immediate expulsion from the premises and possible legal action.
7. Areas of the structure blocked off with caution tape, locks, or chains are hazard areas. Removal and/or intrusion of areas with caution tape, locks, or chains will result in immediate expulsion.
8. Intentional scaring of other participants and/or loud behavior will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion from the premises.
9. Two representatives from Haunted Mansfield, who are paranormal investigators from P.A.C.E. will be on location, as well as a representative from The Mansfield Fire Museum to assist with anything your group may need during the night.
PARANORMAL INVESTIGATION ESSENTIALS
1. Wear sturdy walking shoes. The MansfieldFireMuseum is a large structure.
2. Carry a flashlight. The lights are off. These do come in handy. And you can carry conversations with them too! You may want to bring along a back-up flashlight and extra batteries.
3. Always travel in groups or pairs.
4. Bring a cooler with you and your group’s favorite drinks and snacks! The cooler must stay in the ‘Base’ area. Coolers, thermos, and flasks are subject to inspection for alcoholic drinks. If you refuse to comply with the inspection, you will be asked to put the cooler back in your car.
PARANORMAL INVESTIGATION SUGGESTIONS
1. Wear a watch or even a stopwatch for timing any phenomena as well as what you feel and sense.
2. Bring a digital voice recorder to record any unusual sounds.
3. It is useful to carry a log or notebook for recording all phenomena as well as what you sense.
4. Bring a thermometer. Use a standard thermometer to record temperature changes. Several
paranormal investigators report temperature shifts or ‘cold spots‘.
5. Bring surge protectors, extension cords and extra batteries.

The MansfieldFireMuseum hereby grants the Applicant the right to use this License and the party receiving the right is referred to as the PARANORMAL INVESTIGATION PARTICIPANT. Both parties agree to the following:
The MansfieldFireMuseum grants paranormal investigation Participant a non-exclusive license to participate in the paranormal investigation at The Mansfield Fire Museum, 1265 West Fourth Street, Mansfield, Ohio44906.
1. PAYMENT OF LICENSE FEE
Public Paranormal investigation Participant hereby agrees to pay The Mansfield Fire Museum a fee which shall be $35.00 per participant. Or a $210.00 flat fee if there are less than six (6) participants.
2. DEFAULTS
a. Failure of the participant to abide by the obligations of this agreement shall give The Mansfield Fire Museum, or P.A.C.E. the option to immediately cancel this agreement, providing verbal notice is given to the Paranormal investigation Participant.
b. The participant further agrees to refrain from the use of any drugs or alcohol use, smoking inside the building, stealing or damaging the property or property within The Mansfield Fire Museum or involvement in any inappropriate behavior not in keeping with the serious nature of the Paranormal investigation.
3. SUPPLEMENTAL PROVISIONS
The participant acknowledges that they have read and will abide by the terms of this Agreement and the Supplemental Provisions attached and made a part of this Agreement.
4. WARRANTIES
The MansfieldFireMuseum and P.A.C.E. makes no warranties with respect to the paranormal investigations. In no event will The Mansfield Fire Museum, P.A.C.E., or The Mansfield/Richland County Convention and Visitors Bureau be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages or injuries that are in any way related to Paranormal investigation.
5. CONDITIONS
As a condition of attendance, the PARANORMAL INVESTIGATION PARTICIPANT assumes the risk of injuries to person or property arising out of his or her use of the premises and does hereby release The Mansfield Fire Museum, P.A.C.E., and The Mansfield And Richland County Convention And Visitors Bureau, their trustees, employees, agents, and successors from and against any claim, demanding liability arising out of such injury and will protect and indemnify The Mansfield Fire Museum, P.A.C.E., and The Mansfield/Richland County Convention and Visitors Bureau and those persons released with respect to any claim, demand or liability arising out of such injury.
6. CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS
If for ANY reason you cannot attend the date of the paranormal investigation, you may reschedule. You may also send someone else in your place, provided that they meet the minimum age requirement, and have filled out the agreement form. You must notify us of the change prior to the investigation.
7. GENERAL CONDITIONS
This agreement contains the entire agreement of the parties and there are no other promises or written conditions in any other agreement whether oral or written. This Agreement supersedes any other prior written or oral agreement between the parties.
