The City of Wilson is requesting bids for attaching a new .050 –mil Duro-Last (or equivalent) mechanically attached roof system to its existing rubber membrane roof with a TPO or Dura-Last material. The minimum requirements for the project are as follows:

Install all OSHA approved safety equipment and barricades as required to insure safety and damage control

Install tarps and plywood sheeting as needed to maintain building and landscaping in current condition

Remove existing membrane around the top of all penetrations for proper installation of new single ply Membrane roof system

Prepare existing EPDM roof for installation of new .050-mil Duro-Last (or equivalent) mechanically attached roof system

Install .25 inch Duro-Guard Expanded Polystyrene (or equivalent) tapered insulation board (EPS) over existing EPDM roof system

Supply and install new tapered insulation panels behind all roof top units to properly divert water around units

Insulation board is to be attached with corrosion resistance screw type fasteners and 3” plates to properly secure insulation board

Install Duro-Last (or equivalent) FR-10 slip sheet over EPS tapered insulation to maintain a Class A fire rating

Mechanically attach new .50 Duro-Last membrane over FR-10 slip sheet with 2-3/8” seam plates 12” on center as required

Membrane seams to be a minimum of 5-1/2” overlap with a minimum of 1-1/2” hot air weld to seam membrane together

Membrane to be terminated at base of walls and penetrations for proper membrane securement as required by manufacturer

Install Duro-Last (or equivalent) membrane up parapet walls and terminate just below concrete cap stone and seal

Flash and seal all curbs, pitch pockets, and all pipe penetrations with Duro-Last (or equivalent) prefabricated membrane flashing

Fabricate and install all new scuppers with PVC cladded metal as require

Fabricate and install new skirt metal at all roof top curbs to properly terminate membrane

Install Duro-Last (or equivalent) at all required points

Remove all related debris daily
