The largest international furniture contracting event in Central and Eastern Europe

The largest business exhibition for interiors in Central and Eastern Europe will occupy 11 exhibition halls. The event will take place in Poznań from 6th to 9th March 2018. The blocks of fairs consisting of Meble Poland, Home Decor and arena DESIGN will be visited by 25,000 professionals from more than 50 countries.

Meble Poland

Meble Poland in Poznań, the largest international furniture contracting event in Central and Eastern Europe, is the strongest magnet attracting merchants not only from Europe or North America, but even from exotic markets such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Mauritius and Peru. It is the only furniture fair in Poland visited by many traders from all over the world. Last year, visitors from abroad amounted to as much as 33% of all visitors. According to the participants registration data, at least the same number of buyers from all over the world are expected to come to Poznań. Representatives of all the most important German purchasing groups and retail chains announced their attendance. "We are expecting foreign guests from over 50 countries. Apart from Germany, the largest groups of traders will come from Great Britain, the Czech Republic and Lithuania. Year after year, the MEBLE POLAND trade fair is visited by more merchants from ever new markets. Thanks to this, there are completely new expansion perspectives for export opening up for our exhibitors,” says manager of Meble Poland Józef Szyszka.

Eight years after changing its format into a strictly business event, it is at the forefront of the most important meetings for the furniture industry in Europe. Meble Poland is the largest and most comprehensive exhibition of what the Polish furniture industry offers worldwide. Among the exhibitors are all the most important Polish furniture manufacturers and exporters. Year after year, the offer of Poznań furniture fair is becoming more and more diversified. Alongside furniture made on the basis of furniture boards, the exhibition will also give a chance to see many interesting collections made of solid wood as well as other premium furniture. Among the upholstered furniture visitors should find many real “pearls” as regards their design. The exposition will be complemented by a wide range of mattresses - the sector where Poland is one of the world leading manufacturers. Some part of the exhibition will be showcased in closed spaces (so-called secret rooms) accessible to key buyers with the largest purchase budgets.

The Meble Poland exhibition will be complemented by an interesting agenda of special events. A series of seminars for the furniture industry was prepared by the Polish Chamber of Commerce of Furniture Manufacturers. The seminars will give opportunities to learn about the following things - how to hire the best customer advisors for a furniture store and how to train and motivate them effectively, how to increase the loyalty of the customers and how to correctly calculate and settle costs for the furniture company's products and customers? The seminars will also address other topics on the possibilities of running a manufacturing business in the USA, changes in furniture standards, modern technologies in networking and the 4th sales revolution.

Home Decor

The second pillar of the Poznań event is also a strictly business-related interior trade fair Home Decor , which is Poland's most important presentation of the latest trends in interior decorations and furnishings. Over the last few years, the scope of this fair has been growing tremendously, both in terms of the size and quality of the presented brands. The 2018 edition will be twice as big as the 2015 exhibition. In addition to many well-known and lesser known, yet equally interesting, manufacturers of decorative items, Home Decor will include exclusive lighting, bathroom and kitchen brands. Traditionally, trends for the next season will also be presented by textile manufacturers.

The Bloggers Zone will be the source of inspiration for interior design. “Being a part of Home Decor for five years now, it is an initiative of bloggers specialized in interior decorations and furnishings. This original zone is arranged by influencers, designers and stylists, based on the latest trends and tendencies in the world of interior decoration and design,” says Natalia Tarachowicz, director of Home Decor . The originator and main organizer is Ula Michalak, author of the blog interiorsdesignblog.com, which has for years been supported by Marta Cerkownik, a designer and author of the blog grey&cosy, Dagmara Jakubczak, art historian, design patron, interior designer and the author of the blog and channel on You Tube (Forelements.pl and Akademia Dagmary), architect Kasia Gal from Tri-city (kasiagal.com) and Anna Katarzyna Betnarska, an architect from the picturesque town of Olsztyn near Częstochowa. The Bloggers Zone arrangement is based on furniture from Meble Poland exhibitors, and additionally supplemented by decorations of companies presenting their products at Home Decor and arena Design. The Bloggers Zone is also a series of meetings, workshops and lectures during the Poznań fair. A representative of the Benjamin Moore brand, supporting the Bloggers Zone since last year, will talk about color trends for interiors. The design Decalogue will be presented by the aforementioned Dagmara Jakubczak, author of FORelements.pl, a website dedicated to a very broad concept of design - from design to art, interiors, architecture, fashion and photography. Marta Siembab, the only senselier scent expert in Poland and a professional scent trainer, invites you to the Home Decor workshop "Building atmosphere through fragrance". The author of the workshop is a pioneer in the use of fragrance in space design. The workshop participants will discover the secrets of creating an interior atmosphere through a proper application of scents, they will learn what scents will make customers more likely to feel specific emotions, what scents will create the impression of luxury, boost the value of the interior and signal the presence of high quality natural raw materials, as well as find out how to combine colors, textures and scents. The number of places is limited, to register email . Marek Borowiński PhD, a.k.a. Shop Doctor, will run trainings for traders. The author of numerous publications in the field of visual merchandising and color psychology will answer the question such as whether the ultra violet will rule interiors in 2018? The entire agenda for the Bloggers Zone is available at

arena DESIGN

arena DESIGN is an inseparable part of Poznań trade shows. This year 2018 will see the 10th edition of the most important event in Poland, where innovative design is promoted and space for cooperation between designers and manufacturers is created. Over the decade arena DESIGN has undergone significant changes - its exhibition area has grown four times, and the number of exhibitors and visitors continues to grow year after year. Most of all, however, it has become an integral part of the calendar for designers. One of the regular elements of the event is the TOP DESIGN award competition, which recognizes products of outstanding design quality. Meetings with world-class designers have also become a trademark of arena DESIGN. So far, the event hosted Nipa Doshi from the Doshi Levien studio, Inga Sempé, Edward Barber from the Barber & Osgerby studio, Brodie Neill, Sander Mulder, the project group FRONT DESIGN - Sofia Lagerkvist, Charlotte von der Lancken, Anna Lindgren, Francois Azambourg, Werner Aisslinger and Karim Rashid.

This year's the main theme of arena DESIGN is POKOLENIA / GENERATIONS. That's why the anniversary edition of arena DESIGN will be opened by a unique duo consisting of Patrice Bert and Christian Werner. They both work with LIGNE ROSET, a family company boasting 150 years of experience passed from one generation to another. The former is the CEO of Roset Moebel Gmbh, a long-time collaborator and co-creator of the brand, associated with the company since the 1970s who is currently responsible for the development of the Central and Eastern European markets. Christian Werner, on the other hand, is a German designer who created such projects as the ANNA bed, PRADO sofa or SITAR lamp in cooperation with Ligne Roset. “So far, we have heard a lot about the cooperation between designers and manufacturers. For the tenth edition we aimed to change the formula of the opening lecture. We decided that the topic of cooperation between both: design and business environment should be addressed both by a representative of producers and a designer - both representing the same brand. Their joint lecture will best reflect the character of the business relationship that unites both sides," says Małgorzata Czubak, manager of arena DESIGN. This year, Studio JOB consisting of Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel will be the special guests of arena DESIGN. Some of their projects are fascinating, while others are looked at with amazement. However, there is no doubt that they are breaking the established patterns and balancing on the border between design and art. As a result, they show different sides of contemporary design. For four years now, the VIVA light exhibition has been an integral part of arena DESIGN. It includes the presentation of innovative products, materials and technologies in a coherent formula. The leading theme and the main connecting factor of the exhibition is light, which is inseparable from the perception of space, shapes, colors, textures and materials. This year the exhibition focuses on combining lighting design with art. Black-and-white photographs of the artist violating the conventions Szymon Brodziak, will be displayed next to the extravagant and colorful works filled with allegories by the Job Studio. The VIVA Light exhibition will feature the lighting of such brands as Slamp, Emandes, Melogranoblu, Quasar, Ligne Roset, Lumini, Secto Design, Nyta, Barrisol, Original BTC and Fontini, Tal, Lithoss. The exhibition partner is Hurst & Lech by Barrisol, Jung, Freifrau, and Janua.

The exhibition "WE loveOriginal", organized for the first time in Poland, is an absolutely new concept. It has been triggered by the 10th anniversary edition of arena DESIGN, as well as the centenary of the Polish Patent Office. The aim of the exhibition is to present the icons of design to the general public, give them personal meaning and an author identity. This way the loveOriginal Association and the Poznań International Fair want to focus on building awareness of the design and the production path (from idea to product). The objective for loveOriginal is to raise awareness of the effects of copying the intellectual work of creators, to advise young designers on copyright protection and to promote originals by creating a quality label of the loveOriginal Association!
