THE CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF COUNTY ROADS AND

BRIDGES.

MAY OPERATE SPECIAL EQUIPMENT SUCH AS ROLLERS, MIXERS,

LOADERS, BROOMS, SWEEPERS, SPREADER BOXES, MOWERS, ETC.

INSPECTS AND SERVICES EQUIPMENT EQUIPMENT BEFORE

OPERATING AND AT SPECIFIED INTERVALS DURING OPERATION.

INSPECTION AND SERVICING TO INCLUDE TIRES, OIL, FUEL, WATER,

WHEEL LUGS, HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS, LUBRICATION AND SIMILAR

ITEMS.

MAY BE REQUIRED TO MAKE REPAIRS TO TRUCKS AND EQUIPMENT.

PERFORMS WORK IN VARIOUS CREWS AS NEEDED, SUCH AS PAVING,

PATCHING, FILLING POTHOLES, SHOULDER AND EDGE WORK,

GENERAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

CURRENT CDL DRIVER’S LICENSE WITH GOOD DRIVING RECORD

FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS REQUIRED.

SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST THREE YEARS EXPERIENCE DRIVING

TRUCKS AND OPERATING EQUIPMENT.

MUST HAVE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND AND FOLLOW ORAL AND

WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS.

MUST HAVE PHYSICAL ABILITY TO WORK LONG HOURS OUTSIDE

UNDER VARYING WEATHER CONDITIONS.

EDUCATION EQUIVALENT TO THE COMPLETION OF EIGHT GRADE

The pay range for this position is as follows:

QUALIFICATIONS

Harrison County Information Technology Department

Is currently seeking to fill the full time position of

NETWORK TECHNICIAN

Implements, monitors and maintains the physical information system on which the county operates.

This position is supervised by the Information Technology Director. This individual will carry out instructions imposed by the ITD and will report, as necessary, progress and completion of given tasks and emergencies that may occur during the course of his or her duties.

Essential duties and responsibilities
  1. Configure and install new equipment and including software.
  2. Maintain existing equipment and software.
  3. Maintain a consistent backup of all servers.
  4. Maintain service pack level on all servers.
  5. Support users either by telephone or email.
  6. Install cable for network.
  7. Be on call to help users outside of 8:00am – 5:00pm.
  8. Travel to remote sites to render support.
  9. Prioritize tasks based on relative need.
Qualifications
