In your groups that created the poster, you will now research together and give a lesson the class on one of the above topics.
What you will need to do…
Teach the class about your topic.
That includes giving the information you have learned to the others in class. You can do this in the form of a lecture or through an article or a story or a video or a combination of them. However, you must show something visual to the class, and you must also do some speaking on your own about the topic.
You must also have an activity for the class to do. Make a worksheet for them to complete based upon your information. Make a game to do. Have them do a writing assignment for you. You are the teachers now, so they will do whatever you tell them to. You will also be grading their assignments, so do a good job of teaching!!
Before you will teach your topic, you will show me what you intend to do, so I know your lesson will work.
Your lesson must be at least 30 minutes and at most 60 minutes. Don't freak out - if you teach for a bit and give a good activity for the class to do, 30 minutes will go by quickly.
You will turn into me a typed, professional outline of your lesson plan. It will have…
1) all of the activities you will do in the order you will do them
2) who is doing what in the lesson
3) an overview of the information you will be teaching
4) copies of all handouts you will be passing out
You will need to all work together to complete this. The day of your presentation, you will not be absent!!!!!
We will present during the week of May 26th. However, each group must turn into me an outline of its lesson with its class activity on the 26th.
