The GlensideColorComputer Club, Inc.

Greetings!

The Glenside Color Computer Club, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization established to assist its members in the learning and the better understanding of Tandy’s Color Computer. In the pursuit of that goal, we have been privileged to host, under the auspices of Falsoft Publishing, five Chicago Rainbowfests and the first CoCoFEST!, sponsored by CoCoPRO!. Since 1992, we have organized AND sponsored the Annual “Last” Chicago CoCoFEST!s, which have been held in the Chicago-land area, specifically, the City of Elgin, Illinois and lately in the Village of Lombard, Illinois. During that event, door prizes were given away as promotional items. This year, GLENSIDE will again sponsor the show at the same location as last year on April 21 & 22, 2018, and we would like to continue the tradition of presenting door prizes, but we need your help to do so. In the accompanying “Terms & Conditions”, you will note that there is a section requesting a donation to the “pot” or “kitty”, as it were, from the participating exhibitors. We would ask that you give some consideration to this request in the light that the publicity garnered from the announcement made at the time of the drawing could heighten the recognition of your name in the minds of the attendees.

All drawings for these donated items will be from a common collection of admission pass stubs only and will be for the benefit of the donor and the recipient. There will be no other raffle drawings by GLENSIDE utilizing the donated items.

If you wish your donation to be used as part of the Grand Prize to be distributed on Saturday, please signify so at the time of donation. Donors will receive recognition in the form of a letter of receipt from the Glenside Color Computer Club, Inc. upon request.

Please send all donations and donation forms to:

Thank you for your time, and for your support of the CoCo Community, in the past, in the present, and in the future.

Best Regards,

The Sanity Clause

In the event that the party of the first part or the party of the second part should be declared to be insane, this agreement will be deemed to be null and void.

This legal condition is known to be the Sanity Clause, but since EVERYBODY knows that there is no Sanity Clause, this clause is superfluously extraneous and should be stricken from the record. It is being left in as a tribute to those great men of comedy, Gummo, Zeppo, Harpo, Chico and Groucho. Hurray for the elephant in my pajamas!!! How he got in my pajamas, I’ll never know! Next year we will go to Alabama because the Tuscaloosa, there. Hurray for Captain Spaulding! “Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies.” - Groucho
