~~WELCOME BACK~~

The new school year has started very well. All the children seem settled and are already working hard and producing some great work. I would like to welcome all the new pupils and families throughout the school and in particular all our new children in Reception. We also welcome Miss Williams who is teaching in Year 3 and welcome back full time Miss Hadzik who is working in Year 4. We also welcome Mrs Geer who is assisting in Reception Class, Mrs Roberts who is assisting in Years 5 and 6 and Miss Burton who is a new mid day assistant.

As always, if you have any concerns regarding your child please approach their class teacher and if necessary: Mrs Whiston for the Reception Classes; Miss Trickett for Years 1 and 2; Mrs Peever or Mr Whelan, our Deputy Head, for Years 3,4,5 and 6; or Mr Cox our Headteacher.

We would like to say a big thank you to Mr & Mrs Beech and Mr & Mrs Newton for the new tyre adventure in the Early Years outdoor area.

EYFS are also appealing for parents to donate any bikes with stabilizers that would be suitable for 4-5year olds.

~~PARKING AND SAFETY IN THE CAR PARK ~~

Following concerns raised by both parents and staff we would like to remind all parents that the car park is for staff and disabled parents only. If you need to park in the car park due to a disability, please ensure you display a parking pass obtainable from the school office. When walking through the car park please use the green path and keep your child close to you.

Equally please do not park on or opposite the zig zag lines outside of school. The lines are there for the safety of all our children. It is not acceptable to say you are running late as an excuse for parking there. Equally please do not park at or near to the corners of the local streets, which again causes a danger to our children walking and crossing the roads and to other road users. Please also consider the local residents and avoid parking across their driveways.

Thank you for your support in this matter.

~~WAITING FOR JUNIORS 3:15 TO 3:30PM~~

Please do not allow your infant or pre school child onto the Junior playground until 3:30pm, when the bell goes. It is very distracting for the children and teachers still working in the Juniors, when children have gone onto the playground or fieldwhile waiting for their older brothers and sisters. It is also a school rule that no child should go behind the sheds or demountable classrooms and we would ask that you support us in this by not allowing your child to play behind there either.

Thank you
