Please Note: A minimum of 4 entries must be received in any class in Sections O (Photography), P (Crafts) and Q (Arts) to warrant the award of two prizes. If there are less than four entries in any class, only one prize may be awarded. The judge need not necessarily grant any prize if in his/her opinion, the standard of entries does not justify any award. However, the judges may in their discretion, award a 2nd and or 3rd prize if it is considered a higher award is not justified

(”Member” includes Member School submitting bulk entries for students and children of financial Members of Society).

Entry Forms to be in by the 19th October (Schools 20th October) and articles to be taken to Art & Craft Pavilion 9.00am – 12 noon Tuesday 24th October. No late entries will be accepted.

Cookery entries must be delivered and taken to the Art & Craft Pavilion 9:00am - 12 noon by Thursday 26th. Judging will start at 1pm sharp.

Entries Online: Go to complete your entries online, making sure that you have a copy with all your details, and print them out. Scan and send a copy of your entries to the Warrnambool Agriculture’s email address. Alternatively, you can print a copy of your entries and bring them to the Warrnambool Agricultural Society Office.

Exhibit Identification:For each entry received, an “Entry Ticket” is issued. The number on the “Entry Ticket” identifies the exhibitor and class and, therefore, must be securely attached to the exhibit when it is delivered to the Arts & Crafts Pavilion. No names are to be written on the face of the entry ticket however, the exhibitor’s name may be written on the back of the ticket to facilitate identification when entries are collected after the show.

Handy Hint: Some schools use coloured stickers to code their students’ exhibits

Exhibit Prize Collection:No prize money, trophies, award certificates, etc. will be allowed to be collected until after the show when they will be available from the Chief Steward in the Arts & Crafts Pavilion. Collection time for all entries will be between 3.00pm and 4.00pm on Sunday, 29th October. For any Sections where entries are exhibited in the open, e.g. Art, prize tickets will not be left with the entry but will be held by the Chief Steward. No exhibits or prizes may be collected before 3.00pm. Special arrangements can be made for the bulk collection of schoolentries before 10.00am on Tuesday, 31st October. Any entries, including schools, that have not been collected by Friday 1st December will be disposed of at the discretion of the Warrnambool Agricultural Society.

SECTION O - PHOTOGRAPHY

Conditions of Entry: The Exhibitor must have photographed all exhibits. Photos must be Framed or Mounted on cardboard

Exhibit Sizes: Minimum Open and Novice Classes 8” x 10”. (20cm x 25cm) Other Classes 5” x 7” (13cm x 18cm). Maximum shall not exceed 16” x 20” (40cm x 50cm) including the mount size. No framed prints. Exhibit must not have been awarded a 1st prize at a previous Warrnambool Show. If there are a large number of entries on a specific subject, a separate class may be created for that subject and awards made on that basis.

Entry Fees: Members 70c per print, Non-Members $1.00.

SECTION P - NEEDLEWORK, FANCY WORK & CRAFT

Judging:Wednesday, 25th October at 9:00am. Arts and Crafts Pavilion – enter from Hyland Street
Exhibits:To be delivered to the Showgrounds Art & Craft Pavilion, Hyland Street entrance 9.00am - 12 noon Tuesday 24th October unless other Arrangements have been made.

Conditions:All work in this Section must be new, unwashed and the bona fide work of the exhibitor. No exhibit will be allowed if it has won 1st prize at the previous show of this Society and the exhibit must have been completed within two years of the closing date. Exception. Exhibits in the VAS Ltd Knitting, Embroidery, Hand-Spun, Quilted Patchwork and Garment of Wearing Apparel Competitions must have been completed in the last 12 months

Entry Fees:Members 70c, Non-Members $1.00 for all classes unless otherwise stated at beginning of sub section

“Member” includes Member School submitting bulk entries for students and also includes children of members of the Society Secondary College Aggregate Award:

A Perpetual Shield will be awarded to a Secondary College with students exhibiting in the general Craft, Pottery, Woodwork, Sheet metal and Plastic Work. Points will be awarded according to prizes won by exhibits from each College with the winner being decided on a percentage basis taking intoaccount the number of students at each participating College In order to be eligible for Aggregate Points exhibits must be entered under the School Name. Entries submitted by individual Students independent of their College will not be counted.
